Climate change accelerates tree deaths across Australian forests, study finds
Australia's forests are losing trees more rapidly as the climate warms, a new study examining decades of data said Tuesday, warning the trend was likely a "widespread phenomenon."

One key argument against deployment, even at experimental level, is that since we can't manage "coordinated interventions" to reduce GHG emissions adequately and fairly (not to mention other areas such as current global war threats), how can we be optimistic about dealing with geoengineering risks?
Geoengineering debate
"If SAI is deployed & suddenly halted, the planet will experience rapid rebound warming. Poorly designed or uncoordinated interventions could shift precipitation patterns in catastrophic ways...Some argue that the risks of misuse mean it shouldn’t even be studied. We disagree."

A Radio 4 programme today stated what I’ve often heard: the first colour pic of the Earth in 1972 triggered a big wave of environmental awareness.
What if making our knowledge of Earth more abstract & visual, without involving touch, smell, sound, etc, had actually raised our disconnect with life?

The trouble is: the shifting baseline syndrome comes into play, probably faster than ever, as climate chaos is accelerating... Ecological awareness needs boosting equally fast!
