Forouhar says her decades-long pursuit of justice shapes how she views the current moment. She criticized opposition figures abroad (Reza Pahlavi) for issuing protest calls without accountability to those facing the crisis inside Iran. “How are these calls made from abroad, and with what guarantees?” she asks, saying the mobilization was treating protesters as “cannon fodder.”
