Esther Choo is an emergency physician and professor at the Oregon Health & Science University. She is a popular science communicator who has used social media to talk about racism and sexism in healthcare. She was the president of the Academy of Women in Academic Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American Association of Women Emergency Physicians. She was a co-founder and a board member of Time's Up. Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

DHS getting basic 4th Amendment law wrong on its official Twitter account.

Seems like this post is bound to show up as an exhibit in one of the cases challenging ICE/Border Control enforcement actions.
Homeland Security & @DHSgov X.com Law enforcement uses 'reasonable suspicion' to make arrests, as protected under the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court has already vindicated us on this position. A person's immigration status makes them a target for enforcement, not their skin color, race or ethnicity. @TriciaOhio

The folks I work with are a small indigenous team providing a bridge to mental health care in a rural area. They squeeze lifesaving work out of every SAMHSA dollar while trying to stay intact week after week. There’s no money or time for lawyers.

I don’t use “tragedy” lightly. Do people know how hard it is to set up the multilayered efforts that allow us to claw our way through the fentanyl crisis alone? To get people to mental health services in this time? It’s *already* tough.
