We live in polarising times and many can't even see their own extremism.
But extremists always want you to pick sides, to show your colours, to swear allegiance to their cause or else label you to be of the other extreme.

Of course the original NUTS 2 regions were designed to keep as much of Ireland in receipt of EU Structural Funds as possible. Now the West NUTS 3 region (Galway, Mayo, Roscommon) brings the average up to much.

But greed is likely to get the better of them
Russia is offering the US a $12 trillion deal while its entire GDP is about $2 trillion.

Only Trump and Witkoff could be stupid enough to take that seriously

The problem with that statement is that the EU, Europe, have not done nearly enough to make it a reality. Quite the opposite, they have held back on actions and material all along, and are still holding back actions and material.
That goes for arms as well as sanctions.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian intel has learned of a $12T US–RU economic cooperation proposal—“Dmitriev package”

Reported framework could pose risks to Ukraine’s sovereignty and security. Kyiv will not support any agreements that violate Ukrainian Constitution, incl recognition of Crimea as RU territory

You know, it actually seems entirely plausible that the Kremlin’s con artist in chief Kirill Dmitriev is really waving a $12 trillion plan of “commercial opportunities” in front of Trump’s and Witkoff’s noses.

(That goes in exchange for betraying Ukraine, of course).
OTD in 2018 the Battle of Khasham took place in Syria. US military killed & wounded 300 Russian Wagner fighters who attacked them. And in reaponse we did.....fuck all.

The conversation is mainly about Musk but still relatively revealing about Collison’s worldview. These are my takeaways

Sandu emphasized that it is Ukrainians who are truly sacrificing themselves for the sake of peace and security in Ukraine and the EU.

Just imagine the effect these sanctions would have had, had they been introduced on day one of the war (back in 2014!)?

Curious statement given I've just read that russia is losing troops at a faster rate than they can recruit. So they are operating a war of attrition and losing, to one country. Unless the figures I'm seeing are rubbish, it seems russia is struggling to attack Ukraine, let alone the rest of Europe. ?
