SCOTUS declined to hear the challenge meant to overturn Obergefell. Which means marriage equality stays. Heritage Foundation and other Christian nationalists were counting on this case to roll back rights. Welp…Not today!

Guy who has been sued hundreds of times for not paying people wants you to know that he was definitely, sometime in the future, going to pay air traffic controllers who have been without a paycheck for close to a month and a half. This man is unhinged.

A federal court in Boston has left the full SNAP funding order in place, despite a demand from the Trump administration to "undo" benefits that were paid over the weekend. All Trump did was show, yet again, that he’s not a President for the People.

Good morning to everyone except any Democratic Senator who thinks caving to the GOP without a guarantee on health insurance is “strategy.”

The Trump administration has officially pardoned Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, & John Eastman. All were accused of attempting to overturn the 2020 election. Trump is out here collecting criminals like they’re Pokémon cards.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

Seven million people came out on No Kings Day, the largest single-day protest in U.S. history, and then followed it up with sweeping every major race on Nov. 4. We did our job in the streets and at the polls. It’d be nice if Democrats in the Senate could get on board.

FWIW, this deal isn’t finalized yet.

If you want Democrats to keep fighting, call your Senator.

The vote to advance the bill will likely succeed, but all that does is tee up a final up/down vote.

Friendly reminder: 90+ freshman House members were sworn in during the 2019 shutdown. The government does not need to be open for members to take the oath. Grijalva could have been, and still can be, sworn in anytime…shutdown or not.

The Senate deal to end the shutdown includes a promise from Sen. John Thune to hold a Dec. vote on extending ACA premium subsidies before they expire and Democrats get to write the bill that’s voted on. I don’t trust promises and there’s no guarantee the extension bill passes.

The issue with “voter ID” isn’t the ID. It’s which IDs are allowed and who gets blocked. Gun licenses count but student IDs don’t. Tribal IDs don’t. Millions of eligible voters, seniors, students, low-income workers, get shut out. If it were about security, every gov-issued ID would count.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.
