O, frabjous day!

I am so very excited that 2026 will have a Best Poem Hugo!
In Anaheim did Worldcon

where sci-fi verse
with rhymes diverse
were celebrated as best poetry

(With apologies to Samuel Taylor Coleridge)

Yes, there will be a Hugo for Best Poem in 2026. The press release is out. The LAcon V will be updated later today.

Hahaha, right?! Or what about mandatory disclosures for the discrepancy between the salaries of the CEO and their lowest paid worker? That would be so funny, right?! Let’s do it as a funny joke!!!

It's not just that this combination of cop-thought and legal ass-covering can ruin innocent lives and impede genuine diagnoses.

It's that they will disproportionately impact insecure families and minorities. They can become a venue for bias and prejudice, and function eugenically.

It remains not only so shameful and such a profound betrayal but also just so EMBARRASSING that universities are signing things that are like:

"Men" and "Women" are defined the way President Buttface said in his Big Fancy Statement.

I don’t know a lot.

But I know a lot about dinosaurs.

Now we all know dinosaurs lived for millions of years right?

But does you mind actually wrap around how long they dominated for?

Lets get a little perspective.

Did you know Allosaurus never saw flowers but T.rex did?

Haven't been around much. Overwhelmed with life at the moment, but I did want to pop in and let you know that I have been quite busy setting up a new store. Some of my new offerings are these nifty wrapping papers as well as skirts, dresses, and more.

This is the big one for me. If you absolutely cannot afford the book, GO TO THE LIBRARY. You still get it for free, but in a way that still *matters* to publishers. The libraries are one of the few socialist projects we still have. USE THEM.
And the thing is, man, libraries exist.

Take your kids to book stores! Take yourself to book stores! Take your friends to book stores!
Communities need used-book shops.

As the trends in our world are increasingly standardized and entrenched by "predictive" technologies that stifle innovation and reduce human actions into economic categories...

We need a full range of possibilities for readers and communities to explore and share.

I just went on your website senator and I can't find a single thing on there about how troops can decide if an order is illegal and how you will help them if they decide such a thing.

Maybe work on that before you do the talk show circuit?
What a week and it’s only Tuesday. See me on Jimmy Kimmel tonight to talk all about it.

Possible theories on how this leaked:

-- It came from a Witkoff antagonist within the US govt
-- It came from the Russians to disrupt US-European talks
-- It came from a third-party intelligence service, eg one in Western Europe
-- Witkoff left the transcript at a Dunkin' rest stop
"Now, me to you, I know what it’s going to take to get a peace deal done: Donetsk and maybe a land swap somewhere."
-- Steve Witkoff, in his call to Putin aide Yuri Ushakov

Read the whole transcript of the Oct 14 call. It's amazing.
