This is kinda beautiful: the Olympic opening ceremony used local volunteers for carrying the placards for each country. The woman who volunteered to walk in Ukraine was a Russian expat who'd been living in Milan for 14 years.

I love how despite the blessing of the level 1 neurologist, I still cannot schedule the LP in anything resembling a timely fashion! MyChart says to call. Calling gets me voice mail that tells me to schedule online. Trying to schedule online gets me back to MyChart.

My wife drove ~160 miles yesterday to pick up a secondhand floor loom that we are reasonably certain was made before we were born. It's missing one part but the company still exists, still makes the looms, and still makes the replacement parts for them.
