To show that it can be done, I have drafted up an impeachment article over Venezuela with one other (non-lawyer) looking it over for edits.
McConnell was a pretty straightforward leader. He had the things he wants and he spammed them come hell or high water.

He wanted Supreme Court Justices so he just always did things that could get him Supreme Court Justices.

Is this why he skipped the vote today about confirming one of Hegseth's subordinates?

To go on a show to talk about how he is going to stand up to the Department of Defense?
Arizona Senator Mark Kelly (@captmarkkelly.bsky.social) and Jon Stewart dissect Pete Hegseth's "sedition" accusation against the retired Navy captain and how it speaks to the fragile egos of the Trump administration

It is very hard for me to accept that she truly cares about fighting dictatorship.
Hannity: Did you at any point offered to give him the Nobel peace prize?

Machado: It hasn’t happened yet. We want to give it to him. Share it with him.

@chrismurphyct.bsky.social acknowledging he is distracting his own self is hilarious.
Chris Murphy: "At some level he's winning tonight because clearly part of his intent here was to distract the American people -- you and I -- from what's happening here at home. You have 20 million families who are getting massive increases in their healthcare premiums. People will die."

The Republican Party tried and failed more than 60 times to repeal Obamacare when they were out of power.

60 fucking times.

Maybe Democrats should consider trying to impeach Trump more than *twice*?

It is truly insane that there were Epstein associates running the defense AND prosecution at Trump's second impeachment trial.

How much more corrupt can the Congress possibly get?
January 6, 2026 at 2:22 AM
This is true re: impeachment and it is super annoying.
None of the people complaining about the senate have once even attempted to do a whip count or think seriously about what a trial would look like.

If they did this situation becomes super obvious.

If you're bargaining from a place of "don't punch me in the face too bad, sir," you're gonna get punched in the face, and they're probably gonna do it harder and harder.

If your bargaining position is, "I will expose your pedophile friends and you will face tribunals," the conversation changes.

Lot of people yelling recently "but we don't have the votes!" True! That doesn't mean "immediately quit." (Also not what propter is saying here, to be clear.) It means create a spectacle, make things cause celebres, make the Republican position untenable.

Create bargaining position and force votes.

Yes that is correct. There has been a loss of confidence that you know what you are doing.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, could you please establish an official NYC Mayor account on Bluesky and post everything your office is currently posting on X over here?

And please remove all city accounts from X, which has become a CSAM creation and distribution site?

No money for Musk, ever, please.

Matt Ortega is running for Congress and he supports impeachment.

I also really appreciated how he has a full section on cabinet members and what they should be impeached for. He also lists out Trump’s crimes as well.

I used to be a journalism major so I have gone above and beyond to try to get information about his town halls from local media and they stonewall me.

This man gives zero fucks about Arizona’s and he’s only crying about his pension

I don’t support the administration, but this man is also not poor

Can confirm as a constituent of Mark Kelly’s, he is never in Arizona.

The maybe two town halls he’s had he has cherry picked audiences who are basically his top donors.

He will not allow the general public to reach him. Either by Townhall, email, or phone.

Please do not give this man your money.

So here's the deal everyone. The judge in my case used AI and it fabricated multiple quotes from multiple citations. That flipped a motion from "I win" to "Elon wins." Above The Law wrote about it. The judge fixed one quote. I'm asking the court to fix everything. Team Elon just responded. And...

Why are the foreign relations committee people always the most corrupt?
Did the Trump admin have legal authority to take this action in Venezuela or did they need approval from Congress?

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., Foreign Relations Committee ranking member: “I think people are arguing both sides of the case. And I don’t think it’s clear.”

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social voted present on impeachment last month.
Jeffries: "The Constitution isn't a matter of inconvenience. It is a requirement. George Washington in his farewell address to the nation made clear that the Constitution is sacredly obligatory upon all. That means everybody. There is no Trump exception."

I actually had to stop a few times my former boss from posting things like this because even when I was on the inside, I knew how insane it was.
My favorite posts are the ones where a Congressman talks about how "Congress has failed", as if it's an entity that they somehow aren't a part of. Congress failed, Senator? Gosh, I wonder who could fix that...

But not impeach him. Got it.
As a response to the illegal strikes in Venezuela, Congress must force votes and debate every day this month on War Power Resolutions to prevent Trump from invading:

Cuba
Colombia
Greenland
Nigeria
Panama
Iran

It is time for Congress to wake up & do our job.

I continue to not feel bad for Mark Kelly.

He tried to grift off a video and told everyone else to honor their oaths when he refused to do the same for his own.
The Pentagon will cut the military retirement pay of Sen. Mark Kelly for what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Arizona Democrat’s “seditious” statements on a video telling service members they have the right to refuse to execute illegal orders.
