Writes romance and horror. Sometimes combines the two in a horrible romance. Gluten-free. May contain nuts. No DMs, please, because the UK has determined I'm not adult enough to read them.
Quite nice out there. Brisk.

Solar panels: now in goat-resistant flavor
I'm posting this for no other reason than goats

Well, solar's a pretty good reason, too

And also, solar is the GOAT

Attempted to abseil up the bathroom wall using the toilet chain as a rope. Chain snapped, I landed hard, butt first. Hurt like hell but I walked out with the toilet chain and told my parents 'it just came off in my hand'. I was a very stupid eight year old.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

i would suggest an online safety act that can’t deal with CSAM on a widely used social network frequented by most westminster public figures isn’t doing a very good job of keeping anybody safe online

Rebrand as Microslop. Now extra sloppy. With added slop!

Not even the prompts. If you are a Twitter user in the UK and Twitter sticks a Grok CSAM image in your feed for WHATEVER reason, well congrats your device just downloaded child porn. And you are legally responsible for that.
Even if nobody wants to take action against Musk for building a CSAM generator, there are people using it who are based in the UK and those prompts are absolutely something that would get you on the sex offender's register. Absolutely no justification not to try to identify and prosecute users.

A little astonished we've had to do this, but lo: thanks to the unbelievably quick work of the wonderful @ruthannaevans.bsky.social... TRADWIFE has a new cover, for the Bad Place only

(If there's an issue with *plastic* hearts... I'm all out of ideas)

OG cover still VERY available everywhere else

"We hope the Nazi ket-head reins in his online nonce factory at some point, but if he doesn't we'll have no choice but to shrug."
Keir Starmer's spokesman asked if Government will still use X now it posts indecent images of children, replies "we always keep communication channels under review to reach public in most appropriate way possible”

"Operators are under obligation to act appropriately. We always hope they would do"

Full disclosure - that upstairs shower was bogging. I have no idea what he's been doing in it.

My mother remains dismayed that I'll go Full Metal Jacket on a dirty bathroom with a toothbrush, like she wasn't the one who used to hand me a used Oral-B and tell me to see to the grouting. I learned it from you, ffs!

Right. Suppose I'd better start purging all last traces of post-Christmas funk from the house. Wish me luck. I fucking hate cleaning.

One of these days I'll be normal. Maybe. Just not today.

Chimerism is wild. I remember seeing a case where a DNA test in a custody battle determined that a woman was not the mother of her children despite the testimony of her obstetrician and actual video of her giving birth to them. She was. They just tested the wrong DNA.

recently learned about the prevalence of handheld bidets overseas and i'm not sure if i'm more envious of the bidet saturation itself or of getting to use phrases like "bum gun" and "pussy telephone" without having to explain myself

There's nothing good about having to relive the second Iraq War through the eyes of dingbat podcasters, dementia patients, and alcoholic cosplayers, but American Idiot still holds up as well as it did during the (only slightly) less stupid original.

Random hot take: Mr. Bennett is every bit as frivolous and shallow as his wife, but all his failures are male-coded so we're culturally primed to like him while finding her silly.

This poster is one of the best on here and I’m so sad we’re losing her because of the appalling harassment she has been subjected to. Of course she must look after herself. And the rest of us need to do whatever we can to challenge and change this cruel, sick, dangerous, culture.
I‘m discontinuing my social media use for the foreseeable future and I want to explain why.

I woke up in the new year to discover that some guy on here had saved photos I took on New Year’s Eve and used Grok to remove my clothes. I know this because he showed me.

It's quite incredible how this poor and inaccurate tool has been prioritised and integrated *so* effectively that I regularly have people tell me something they've 'looked up' and I have to say 'you're not just reading the AI overview are you' and they are.

Remember: It is a mystery to every journalist and pundit why this Labour government are so roundly and universally detested.
Govt minister Darren Jones is asked what element of international law gives the US the right to abduct the leader of another country.

Jones says he's not qualified to answer that question and he's not a spokesperson for the US administration.
