And if you want further proof that #Florida woman turned AG Pam Bondi is incompetent:
A leaked Justice Department memo directs federal prosecutors to press “domestic terrorism” charges against individuals who record immigration operations. Miller and Bondi must be stopped.

The federal statute dealing with terrorism doesn’t delineate penalties for domestic terrorism, it only defines it. This is unlike foreign terrorism, which is the first half of the statute, where penalties are delineated. It’s why it’s always been very hard to bring domestic terrorism charges.

Important correction to an otherwise good piece: Rubio is NOT the son of Cuban exiles. He passed himself off as one for many years, but his parents were economic refugees who fled to the U.S. before Castro took over. Receipts:

I should correct myself above, because I don't know for certain that the graduate student (I'm not naming her, leave her the hell alone) has lost income/funding, only that she has been removed from the course.

I would really like to see journalists and pundits get the language right here. Again, a transgender STUDENT has lost her job, her income, and her privacy because another student decided she could make a career off of a manufactured controversy.

Yes, there is a power differential between an undergraduate student and the teaching assistant who grades their papers, but a grad student from a vulnerable minority is being victimized for doing her job exactly the way thousands of cisgender TAs would have. That's not an accident.

Something that's getting lost in this story is that the "instructor" in question is not a professor with a PhD; she is a Graduate Teaching Assistant, meaning the University of Oklahoma has thrown one of ITS OWN STUDENTS under the bus to appease a right wing grifter who tried to dunk on a trans woman

The University of Oklahoma has removed an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and argued that promoting a “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” https://cnn.it/4b6g3rd

These inter-agency agreements and government contacts probably need to be FOIA. I would also begin to tie habeas review to these larger policy choices.

The key story today is actually here: www.politico.com/news/2025/12.... The attempt to avoid the Privacy Act by centralizing data on U.S. citizens through agreements with various agencies and through pressuring state agencies is happening right now.
ICE’s interest in high-tech gear raises new questions: ‘What is it for?’
The immigration agency’s surveillance tools and increased access to government databases draws privacy concerns.

ICE saying that birth certificates, state ids like driver’s licenses, and U.S. issued ids are not not sufficient evidence of citizenship seems like a major question to me.
So the new admin policy is, apparently, if we don’t think you are a “citizen” because of your race or ethnicity, we claim your birth certificate is a fraud and deport you any way, even if a judge says “don’t you dare.” It’s Obama birtherism writ large.

🧵 "Their explicit goal is to segregate kids into an online environment absolutely packed full of chatbots, instead of humans.

Chatbots created by nazi sex pests, which encourage people to kill themselves and churn out CSAM deepfakes and go into mental health crises etc."
As the anglosphere gleefully sets fire to the internet out of virulent transphobia, one of its main tools is age verification: dividing the internet into one for adults, and one for kids.

And, the *exact same people* are desperately trying to cram genAI into the kids' internet.
