Whenever Trump or Musk goes on a posting spree, we get theories about drugs, meds, mania...all possible!

But we don't see much discussion of how overposting helps them dominate and steer discourse—"flood the zone." Maybe because so many minor left-wing demagogues use the same strategy? 🧵
President Donald Trump gifted the world with nearly 200 Truth Social posts (and counting) on Christmas Day, where he amplified conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and called for a member of Congress to be deported.

Yeah no shit, call for impeachment
2/ His behavior is inconsistent with constitutional norms and the proper conduct of a president. But it is typical of authoritarian leaders, and unfortunately, of Donald Trump.

Anyone who feels this way should join the robust impeachment movement that’s been around since January. No need to wait for a backlash when you can help the people creating one
I want to *stress* that the backlash to this administration needs to be overwhelming, sustained, and come bearing legal consequences.
Joe Rogan and Shane Gillis on Nick Fuentes running for president one day.

Rogan: “He could probably win in a few years. Listen, he couldn’t have existed before, right? Ten, twenty years ago, couldn’t have existed. Now, super popular. What’s twenty years from now look like?”

Every passing day. Every new document from the Epstein files. If you're in Congress, impeachment is your duty. If you're not doing it, you're breaking your oath.
Oaths Of Office, And How Everyone Not Moving To Impeach Trump Is Violating Their Own
Until very recently the only member of Congress excused from not having moved to impeach Trump was Rep. Grijalva, because until someone swore her in there was nothing she could officially do. But f…

Yes, and hearing those echoes comes with the obligation to call for impeachment—for the immediate ouster of the regime leader.

If a Dem president committed Trump's crimes, no one would say "The GOP can't try to impeach because Dems won't go for it."

Casting Dems as pliable and Republicans as iron-willed is "Mommy Party"/"Daddy Party" crap. It's not an argument, it's doing the GOP's stereotyping and propaganda for them.

All this shit about being "willing to work with" Trump, about "bipartisanship" with the rapist and his enablers - it all has to go. Politicians (and pundits) should feel that it's career suicide NOT to support impeachment. That's where the Overton Window belongs, that's where we'll drag it to in '26

Look to the abuse scandals in the Catholic Church as precedent. These were open secrets for years, greeted with a lot of corrosive cynicism, but people who gave a shit about protecting kids kept demanding justice. (And never stopped.) Be a demanding “idealist,” not a complicit “realist.”

And therefore Trump should be impeached and prosecuted
These are concentration camps. No other way to describe them. Truly horrific, and none of it surprising in the least.
30 minutes. Some deportees described sexual assault. Detainee describes the guard sexually assaulting most detainees. Lights left on all day. Prisoners not given clean water.

Now the DHS tour. Nobody spoke to the detainees. Noem's video was in a different area of the prison.

Impeach Trump, prosecute, keep impeaching and prosecuting
If Bari Weiss didn’t know what the Streisand Effect was before this week, she’ll certainly be familiar with it now. This episode of 60 Minutes is utterly damning. The sadism displayed in CECOT is even worse than previously depicted. It’s clear why she felt the need to protect Stephen Miller. Watch!
I just uploaded @jasonparis.bsky.social 's recording of the segment CBS News pulled from "60 Minutes" to YouTube:

Trump must be impeached, removed, and prosecuted
NEW: Statement from some Epstein survivors:

"It is alarming that the United States Department of Justice, the very agency tasked with upholding the law, has violated the law, both by withholding massive quantities of documents, and by failing to redact survivor identities.."

I am not sorry. This is simply true. Academics should be able to write fluently and express themselves clearly and academics should do their own work. It’s literally our job. It’s what we trained until 22nd grade to do. This is a simple observation that should require no explanation or defense.
I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

Zero. Really we should look at every corporation/institution that has caved to Trump through the lens of who there might have been an Epstein kid toucher with Trump.
What are the chances that the Trump regime is *not* demanding money and favors from powerful people in exchange for redacting their names and faces in the Epstein files?

Rep. Ro Khanna says the Trump DOJ's production "does not comply with" the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Khanna says he and Rep. Thomas Massie "are exploring all options" — including impeachment of DOJ officials, inherent contempt, or referring individuals for obstruction of justice.

From this point on, I'm forced to assume that every elected politician who does not immediately call for Trump's impeachment is in the Epstein files. Sorry. Just cutting the Gordian knot here, as one does during societal collapse.

I would add (as I often have) that the same is true of Mitch McConnell stealing a SCOTUS seat by refusing to consider Obama’s nominee. Legal experts tied themselves into pretzels trying to justify it at the time, but it was just a fascistic violation of the Constitution.
Yes, it’s illegal. Like changing it to Department of War, like ten thousand other things. Part of the Trump strategy is to break the law and convey “the rule of law is weak and feminine and laughable and should be overridden by Our Guy.” Trump is fundamentally anti-law.
