I think this is a part of the reason a lot of brands have shifted away from being useful and more towards luxury brands. Wannabe execs inflate their salaries to insane degrees and then want to live the high life but ultimately hate their product

Structurally, Rogue One has the insurmountable problem that Jyn has to play the part of both the leader of the team, the force welding it together, and the newcomer to it who grows to become its most fervent member. I think most of the movie's issues are downstream of this story logic problem.
