People are saying Israel is the first country to ban MSF. This isn’t true. Panama didn’t renew the msf permit to operate in the Darién for a period in 2024, which is analogous to what Israel has done. I have reported on this before.

Msf later did get permission to work there.

Israel trying to suggest these NGOs support terrorism is ridiculous. Of course that’s the point, to be able to force people to accept something that’s untrue on the face of it. That is the nature of genocide, it has to destroy the concept of truth
Denying medical assistance is unacceptable in any circumstances.

Israel’s threat to withhold registration from MSF & other INGOs is a cynical and calculated attempt to prevent organizations from providing services in #Gaza and the #WestBank, #Palestine.

Many of you did things this year you’d never have dreamed of being able to do in November last year. Next year you’ll do more, and we should have a great deal of hope because of that.

The future is unwritten. ✌️

Please be careful in the mountains. Baldy sees a lot of rescues and deaths, in part because it’s easy to get there and easy to get way over your head. Even if you’re unconcerned for your own wellbeing, remember that people go into danger trying to save you.

Miller's racism would be bad enough, but it is amplified by his being an ignoramus who has a very limited & inaccurate grasp of actual history. The US's & anyone else's.

There isnt an 'election' happening in Myanmar today.
Its a sham, a facade, a desperate attempt to gain legitimacy by the brutal, murderous Junta which since its coup has & contines to displace millions, kill & detain thousands.

none of us can be unbiased, it’s ridiculous to think we can. What you get when you believe that is the performing of objectivity by including ridiculous and reprehensible viewpoints to show off the absence of bias. All while never acknowledging the massive financial bias major outlets have.
Agree with Walker’s take here. If this were the standard that I adhered to, I would never be able to do my labor reporting. I am a union member, a strong supporter of the labor movement, and I report on labor issues.

Accuracy, integrity is the name of the game. But I am not a piece of cardboard
I’m just going to say this (not diving back into an argument or attacking anyone):

The idea that journalists cannot accurately or fully report on topics they have strong feelings about is silly.

Wait until Tim here finds out about deserts.
Not going to directly QT the guy but this is silly on multiple levels.

Raising Livestock for meat production has caused the destruction of forests and other beneficial ecosystems at a rate orders of magnitude above any impacts solar production is having. Forests vs solar is just not a real issue.

The San Diego subreddits are keeping track of UT fuckups and it’s genuinely quite shocking. They printed a whole page of placeholder text recently.

This is what happens when you fire everyone I guess.
