“The New South” has Waylon Jennings producing and providing vocals. Gregg Allman’s on it. Pretty sure they’ve got Charlie Daniels and some surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd too. Yet it doesn’t even have its own Wikipedia page.

Really is a tragedy that Hank Williams Junior turned out to be a huge piece of shit because man “The New South” album is front to back one of the greatest country albums ever. That, “Old Habits” and “Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound” is an insane level of badass country songs.

I came up in the age of film and there’s just not enough photos of my time in the Army.
I should have taken So Many More.
And I should have kept the few I did have safer. There’s several I can’t find now and I regret that a lot.

My one regret and piece of advice for young service members is; don’t think that you’re too cool to pose for a photo. You’re doing some pretty incredible things and you’re going to want to remember it.
We were Soldiers once.
