Reading my mentions:
Guess I'm going to RT this every fucking day till the end of time
The entire genre of the milquetoast one-line "lol he's so mad" post followed by an eighteen-inch screenshot of his latest Truth Social rant is going to drive me out of my mind before this is all over
Early in his first term I went “wait a minute, I can simply not do this” and stopped sharing, thinking I was dunking on, or even reacting to him. It’s so much better this way, for so many reasons.

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

I feel bad going to bed? But I did stay up later than the Patriots

This is one of the best things I've ever seen
Cause that's what heroes do.

Sorry for the abrupt pivot away from nihilism but this halftime show is just extremely lovely? The spirit is so good! It's so fun!

Second half: I'm embracing entropy. I'm cheering for horror. I don't care anymore. Final score 9-0. 61 total yards of offense. Relentless exchange of punts from the 20-yard line. Every ad a Dunkin' Donuts commercial that's the worst thing you've ever seen in your life

A fascinating tactical chess match, which is perfect for me, someone who loves to watch chess on television
This really is some sickos shit

What if there were so few penalties because the refs zoned out and quit watching the game
February 9, 2026 at 12:55 AM
Welp, now it's the second-best Super Bowl of all time
No penalties so far? You're saying this is the best Super Bowl of all time???

I am feeling this weird quasi-gratitude when I see a commercial for something like a car or a food item

Every Super Bowl commercial is like "Hey kid, check out this ruinously destructive thing that you don't want. I'm Karl Urban. Here's an inexplicable reenactment of the parade float sequence from Ferris Bueller's Day Off"

All I know is only one NFL team had an owner in Trump's personal box at the Melania premiere, and that team was NOT the Oklahoma City Thunder
How many NFL owners do we think have good politics? There’s me (minority owner, Green Bay Packers) but any others?
February 8, 2026 at 10:29 PM
As a fan of multiple Oklahoma sports teams, I think I'm ideally situation to sit in judgment on lifelong Patriots fans supporting their team despite Bob Kraft's bad politics

And her little dog, watching in the snow all alone because her grandparents didn't show up...she's so cold...
I don't think the Olympics and the Superbowl should happen at the same time.

What if a parent had a kid in each? You know they're going to the football game and not the cross country skiing. And that makes me sad for that skier I just made up.

"Carnivore diet" sounds great to a certain type of guy; it is to that exact guy that we must relentlessly stress that RFK wants you to eat yogurt during the Super Bowl
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

Seeing a lot of analysis of why this data-driven approach is a bad strategy for running a newspaper, and sure, totally, it is, but the bigger issue with the Bezos quote is that it's a lie and not at all a description of what Bezos is doing
Jeff Bezos' statement, his first since last week's layoffs: "The Post has an essential journalistic mission and an extraordinary opportunity. Each and every day our readers give us a roadmap to success. The data tells us what is valuable and where to focus."

Is anybody ever gonna take a step back and realize the "Russia Russia Russia" people — derided as lunatic wine moms — were actually underplaying the foreign influence stuff, and the loud people who kept insisting it was all fake are now saying Jeffrey Epstein was kind of a cool guy?
