People may not like it, but it was wise of John Roberts to give Trump the power to do the same thing without fear of criminal liability.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

ICE vs the clergy
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Singling out priests to brutalize & arrest for exercising their First Amendment rights is par for the course at this point for CPB/ICE goons, but this is the ISP. I don’t think they’re formally under @govpritzker.illinois.gov’s command (independent board), but he should still probably say something
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

All wearing poppies (including Lunqvist who is swedish) in front of a giant American flag. Incredible mishmash of symbols on TNT tonight.

The tush push is fine and people who complain about it are losers, but that particular one was an extremely egregious false start

This freak, just back from getting booed out of a football game, is gloating. So that’s how you know it’s a great deal for dems.
Trump: "We'll never agree to give any substantial money or any money to prisoners, illegals. And I think the Democrats understand that. And it looks like we're getting close to the shutdown ending."
November 10, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Really humiliating stuff for New England to have the three leading Vichy Dems to be from here.
CNN, CBS, others report that at least 8 Dems have reached a deal to end the shutdown
November 10, 2025 at 12:06 AM
I will max out to anyone who primaries one of these “about 10” Vichy snakes in a primary.
Welp, that’s the Senate side of the shutdown over, it seems.

I’m pretty libertarian on whether most forms of vice should be criminalized, but I don’t think you should be allowed to bet on whether an individual pitch will be a ball or a strike (and until two hours ago I was not aware you could!) Its degenerate behavior and trivially easy to rig.

Any Democrat voting for this should be primaried as quickly as possible because they're stupid, aren't capable of recognizing they're winning, are incapable of representing their constituents, and are cowards not up to this era's challenges.
Senate Democrats asked for a year of ACA subsidies and were told to fuck off.

So they came back and asked for a pinky promise to hold a vote on ACA subsidies that they will assuredly lose?

Seriously?
From what I have seen so far this does not seem like a good deal:

Look guy’s probably an old asshole, but honestly if he had “abiding respect” for Franco all the more credit to him for La Transicion and particularly 23-F.
The former king of Spain, Juan Carlos, published a memoir this week, detailing the accidental shooting death of his younger brother nearly 70 years ago, his abiding respect for the nation’s former dictator and his sense of isolation since abdicating.
Former King of Spain, Juan Carlos, Details Death of Brother in Memoir
He wrote about the accident that killed his brother nearly 70 years ago. The book also describes his respect for Gen. Francisco Franco, the former dictator.

The secret to Hungary’s low (negative) migration is that it’s the worst place in Europe to live so no one wants to go (or stay) there.
Trump on how the EU is allegedly imposing "woke policies" on Hungary: "I think they should respect Hungary and respects this leader very strongly because he's been right on immigration ... his crime rates are very low."

You cannot vote for any deal, no matter what it contains, when they're promising in advance to break it. Because then it's not a deal at all.
Rep. Andy Harris: "A continuing resolution doesn't increase spending, but it also gives the administration the ability to tweak funding. Those Biden-era programs that aren't very favorable like USAID obviously are subject to rescission." (Yeah, that's the whole problem!)

Rockies/Browns is incredible. It feels like something rejected from a TV show for being too ridiculous.

Going to be honest here, in normal times I’d probably dislike this because of my day job and things like personal jurisdiction. But in these times it is a bulwark against the attempt to steal 2028. So hell yeah.

Don’t think this is a novel insight anymore, but pretty obvious that Musk is a Klan-level racist with deep trauma over the fact that apartheid ended and that’s what animating him taking it out on the rest of us.
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

Ohtani getting that old Kershaw postseason treatment where he gets trotted out on short rest, fails, and there’s going to be a million pieces about it.

I met Brian on the 08 Obama campaign in Ann Arbor. He’s the most normal guy imaginable. If they’re coming for him they’re coming for all of us.
Brian Straw is one of ours. He's a longtime reader/listener/Michigan twitter-sky interaction. He listens to our podcasts with his 11yo. He serves his local community as a village trustee.

They're trying to jail him for it.

There's probably not a way to do it consistent with the First Amendment, but it should probably be against the law to advertise gambling as a way to pay "your bills."
