On one hand, I view him turning more towards foreign affairs as indicative of exactly this, his domestic agenda has basically stalled out.

On the other hand, i really wish he wouldn't be paying attention to foreign affairs
his agenda is stalling out domestically, but we've given the presidency large freedom of action in foreign affairs. so he's abusing that discretion to find out what he can get away with.

If you remember that the point of every Trump foreign policy idea is to generate social media content rather than actually accomplish anything tangible then it all makes a lot more sense.
What is just crazy about this, aside from the need for this statement at all, is that Greenland already IS in the US sphere of influence. It's far cheaper for the US, in material, security, and reputational terms, to have Denmark continue administering Greenland and work within NATO on security.

I mean this isn't true anyways, but what do you expect from voter facing statements in an election year when we are where we are because marginal voters cared mostly about their wallets.
I'm getting QTs mad about this but lol come on guys you know I'm right. You can't find a statement from a Dem on Venezuela that doesn't bring up Iraq or claim the whole thing is a "distraction" from healthcare or affordability or whatever
