Here’s why I’m in favour of a wealth tax, or at the very least an unrealised gains tax;
Say I buy £20k of stock in a company and the stock price skyrocketed and that stock is now worth £100,000 my net worth is up £80k without paying tax or NI on that. If I earned £80k that’s £23,042.60 in tax & NI
