In 2024, almost 900 members voted to keep their trans-inclusive policy - a policy that has worked peacefully since 2019.
Now, a small campaign group is seeking to overturn that democratic decision through the courts.

Naomi is I think bang on here. I have said many times to many people that AI is like any other technology shift: it changes jobs and how we work. Naomi builds on that (and expresses it much better), and lands on "learn the skill of discernment". Do read this.

I wonder how far along the scale of moral degeneration Zweig would judge America to be in its current state.

Fun Fact - My old flatmate (Leigh) plays Abner in the latest Conjuring movie. Turns out monsters are much less scary when you remember them borrowing your perfume and calling you ‘Little Jedi’ whenever you wore your hooded dressing gown.

The tooth fairy once wrote to me IN ELVISH (or at least in runes) ON A LEAF! I was a lot more impressed by this as an adult than I was as a child. I wish I still had that leaf.
As Terry Pratchett said, we tell little lies to children so that they can accept the big lies they need to swallow to survive.
Justice. Mercy. Duty. That sort of thing.

Kiddo, like many toddlers, used a dummy. We weren't dead keen on it but it helped her soothe so 🤷♂️
Anyway, eventually she got to an age where it felt okay to encourage her, gently, to give it up.
It was about the age she started losing some of her milk teeth.
