I can vouch that NSW police act like this in western Sydney and towns with high Aboriginal populations every single day, and are in fact largely untouchable. The difference today is the number of white people who saw what police do, usually with impunity.

Minns trying to spin this morning:
"...people have to understand the circumstances where [if] protesters breached police lines and ran amuck in Sydney would have been devastating."

Yeah. Imagine if those people FROM SYDNEY who went THROUGH SYDNEY to get to the protest managed to get INTO SYDNEY.

I say this as someone who was there, it was pretty clear that the Herzog protest was proceeding peacefully and NSW Police were largely responsible for inflaming conflict with protesters. Initially by the poor way they restricted movement around Town Hall, and then by things like this…
Shared with us from Sydney happening now. He had his hands up.

Fuck the cops. Fuck the politicians who enabled this. Arrest Herzog.
Extraordinary footage. Police pulling off people engaged in peaceful prayer.

Just going to point to the time that Stalin said that they needed to execute the top 50,000 Nazis officials post war.

And then we didn't.

I'm not saying it was a perfect idea, but I'm also saying we wouldn't have filled West German politics, NATO, & other bodies with Nazis for 50 more years.
Even under a best case scenario — Dems take the WH in 2028, ICE and BP are abolished or rebuilt from scratch — we’re still going to have thousands of angry, unemployed, well-armed, MAGA loyalist former immigration cops who have been told for 3-4 years that they’re above the law.

Damn, the British Museum was showing off stolen art?

OK, easy dig over, it fucking sucks that institutions who we *need* to be reliable sources of truth are embracing the lying machines.
The British Museum posted Al slop and quietly deleted it. Here's what it was and why it matters.

One of this year’s biggest elections that will fly under the radar is the United Workers Union elections.

Union elections are pretty lowkey unless you’re a member, but UWU’s Queensland influence and their reputation as the laboratory of the union movement makes this important for everyone.

Just listened to another great and infuriating QAA episode that brings me one step closer to the belief that maybe lying should just be illegal.
I'm back on QAA this week, talking about the YouTubers who travel to London to tell their audience that western civilization is collapsing, and that England's supposedly lawless, multi-ethnic capital city is at the heart of it. The episode is called London Has Fallen.

I'm thinking ICE agents should be trapped in big glass containers and we pull their limbs off with ambivalence like they were spiders
In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.
