Latest QAA episode is where I first heard Epstein's actual voice and learned it sounds nothing like Jake's impression. There really is no end to the revelations

The cruel fiction of ‘The Immigrant Question and its Solution’ in UK politics is the idea that you can indulge a reactionary worldview which perceives migrants as lesser humans deserving of exactly this treatment while formulating a technocratic solution that won’t trend toward this same end.

Clavicular captions are always so funny but if you ever watch the actual video it's just an awkward young man stumbling his way through a conversation. I think thats probably part of the joke but it's unclear to me whether he's in on it

When my kids were two, the cooking gas was out.

He kept asking for tapioca in different voices, despite me and his twin brother saying there was no gas to cook it.

He was training The Voice.

My 2 year old does a thing where he asks to "watch Bambi" a couple of times in a normal way and if we say no he says it again but in a more growly, gravelly voice. It's so funny but part of me is a little concerned he seems to have just organically come up with The Voice from Dune

I think a lot of politicians & commentators see all this very differently from most of the country. They see it as part of an ongoing story about decision-making, personalities, probity, money etc. For everyone else it’s part of a long series of events: Saville, Huw Edwards, Rotherham & more (1/)

So I've found a few parenting subreddits to be genuinely good sources of advice and wisdom, but wow I wish there was a way to not see all the *many* posts which are not seeking advice about parenting at all, but having an (at best) useless and (at worst) actively malevolent husband. Very depressing

I don't like to do the NHS down but you know an exorcism by them would be sooo bad lol. Phone appointment where they ask you to read the Hail Maries to yourself "and come back in a couple of weeks if that hasn't worked"
Curious. It was definitely an x ray I had last month. Not an exorcism. 😏

It’s so cruel - and what next? People are housed in hotels (& barracks) often out of town, bus routes are scarce & the weekly allowance is pitiful. Charities can step in, but are people now just going to get sick? What is the plan here?
Do they understand how mad they sound? As if anyone has ever decided to cross the Channel in a small boat because, if they make it, they might get to take a free taxi to a doctor's appointment?

"Pull factors" on steroids.

The only route to accepting Mandelson or Andrew's "silly me!" version of events, is to believe that they only ever exhanged sensitive information or access in exhange for cash or favours or sex to one man, and by sheer dint of bad luck it was the one man on Earth whose emails everyone gets to read.

It is crazy the knots some men will tie themselves into rather than just admit that the feminists were correct and patriarchy is real
For sure man: Larry Summers, Peter Thiel, Ehud Barak, Peter Mandelson, Bill Gates, and basically every other oligarch, power broker and political bigwig in the western power structure were all taken in by a devious Russian plot to enact the precise policy suite they’ve espoused their entire careers.
