It is unbelievable that Australian taxpayers are paying to send two former Defence Ministers, now weapons industry lobbyists, to the UAE and Saudi Arabia to spruik their clients and arms sales into the region. Unbelievable except it’s business as usual for Labor and the Coalition

2026 headlines brought to you by Woodside, Santos, Labor and the Coalition. We need to keep fossil fuels in the ground and their grifters and $$ out of politics.

The Greens have secured a major win with a commitment from Government to establish a National Firearms Safety Council!

This delivers on what the community expects: evidence-based oversight that future-proofs our gun laws against politically motivated deals that put public safety at risk

I spoke to Radio National this morning about just how bad the Labor and Liberal changes made to hate laws are - no one is made safer by the dirty deal they did in Parliament last night.

Make no mistake: the changes the Liberals made with Labor on the hate speech laws make them worse. Hear me explain just some of the impacts here.

Today's Liberal Labor deal to try and criminalise those speaking up against genocide is deeply dangerous but it will not silence us.

Having read the draft of the Australian government's new "hate" legislation, the scope it gives the government of the day to restrict civil society is massive. It's very clear that it could be used to outlaw a Palestine Action-style organisation www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01...
Hate laws to pass after Labor and Liberal deal
The Liberal Party struck an agreement with Labor to tighten the scope of a bill to ban hate groups, but the position of the Nationals is unclear.

The Coalition talking up removing vilification from hate crimes bill at the same time they have made govt introduce provisions into hate org listing that cover ridicule and contempt - an org can be banned without anyone even being convicted of an offence so it’s actually worse for free speech!

This is absolutely obscene. Tax the rich.

Trump is trying to sell Palestinian sovereignty for $1 billion per seat while Palestinians are still being bombed and starved under the so-called “ceasefire.”

This isn’t diplomacy, it’s profiteering off genocide. Australia better not touch this with a 10-foot pole.

Labor are still trying to get the Coalition to support dangerous proposals to amend the Migration Act and allow the Home Affairs Minister to ban organisations and criminalise membership of those organisations. These changes are bad and the Greens stand with the community to oppose them.

Time to end AUKUS, remove US bases and chart an independent, principled and safe defence and foreign policy for Australia. Cringing in fear under the tattered US umbrella while it’s being used to beat up US allies is no longer a credible plan.

The United States is now punishing close NATO allies because they oppose him invading and stealing Greenland. The response of the Australian Labor Party and the Coalition is silence, pretend it’s normal and build even more US bases here. They are endangering our national safety.

Labor is rushing a 144-page omnibus mess through parliament with just 48 hours for public submissions. Communities are fearful this is designed to criminalize people calling out genocide in Gaza. You have my word that we won't let Labor silence dissent.

Grok’s recent scandal generating sexualized images of women and minors is horrifying.

It’s not the first time. This AI has a documented history of antisemitism, praising Hitler, spreading “white genocide” conspiracies, and posting violent content.

AUKUS has tied Australia to a sinking nuclear defence enterprise called the United Kingdom. It’s not just a retired UK Admiral, the UK Audit office has tracked the structural failures for years. But don’t worry, Marles and Meade say it’s “on track” - they are dangerously deluded
