A new edition of the UNEP's Emissions Gap Report is out. It shows countries making little progress in ramping up ambition, and the very low likelihood of current commitments limiting warming to 1.5 degrees.

Just a reminder that no one needs to eulogise Barnaby Joyce’s political career. As a politician he took way more than he gave back in terms of public service, he undermined his colleagues and his private life was a shambles.
His only real material achievement was somehow getting re-elected.
