Given it's late March, probably past time I start a 2025 New Tunes thread.
First off the rank is art-rap group clipping. Daveed Diggs may not objectively be the best rapper in the world, but damn it if he's not my FAVOURITE.

Ok my EG Whitlam yarn. Early 90's Gough is speaker at a national Young Labor dinner. I'm a new SVP and get to sit next to him. He's being introduced by another delegate - at inappropriate length. Gough leans in a bit to me and asks *do the voice*
"Comrade, what faction is this fuckwit in?"

The idea that things are learned on first listen, and never resonate or recontextualise within your mind remains one of the most toxic traits of techbros. Consequence and change are things for the little people to deal with.

My latest at @comicsjournal.bsky.social: I talked to @oglaf.bsky.social! Not the character, but rather, the people who create it.
They don't do many interviews, so this was a real treat. They're funny people! Turns out they're not super private, just...really bad at PR?

‘Our fans love finals games,’ says CEO Andrew Dillon
The AFL has defended its decision to expand the finals series to 10 clubs with the introduction of a divisive “wildcard round” from next season.
The two additional matches will be held during the weekend that has been used for a pre-finals bye in the men’s competition while the AFLW will lose the clear air it has been given for early-round fixtures over the past three seasons. Continue reading...

The sliding scale of political cartoonist art is fascinating.
Some are basically a political bon-mot with some caricatures attached (which is good!) wheras others are detailed illustrations with deeply nested meanings embedded in background details (also good!)
