listen, if we want to keep providing this thing that no one likes or wants, we have to be willing to suck at it.
Can't wait for the loosened up, non-perfect, but quickly shipped AI-enhanced updates to hit my banking and insurance services next year.

Im sure there will be no issues there at all.

Something that's getting lost in this story is that the "instructor" in question is not a professor with a PhD; she is a Graduate Teaching Assistant, meaning the University of Oklahoma has thrown one of ITS OWN STUDENTS under the bus to appease a right wing grifter who tried to dunk on a trans woman

The University of Oklahoma has removed an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and argued that promoting a “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” https://cnn.it/4b6g3rd

I'm sorry, but if you are using LLMs to do your work and you end up citing non-existent papers you are engaging in academic fraud and you should be punished

This is no different than a scientist making up data or a historian inventing quotes. People who do this should be heavily sanctioned

Yglesias and I had an exchange where he laughed at the idea Americans would be targeted when it was time for him to renew his passport

He deleted the exchange

Yglesias is a racist. But more than that he’s an opportunist who needs other people to be as cynical as he is to justify his position
Yglesias referring to Senator Van Hollen as a "safe seat clout-chaser" is so despicable. VH took a stand to prevent Abrego García - an innocent man - from being disappeared into CECOT for life.
matt & co’s theory of how public opinion on immigration would respond to new information was simply empirically wrong.
at this point the only reasonable conclusion is they refuse to update their priors w/ new data because the data is inconvenient for them

If the Chicago ruling class, aka Michael Sacks, is spending big money to try convince the working class that paying more in fees and taxes is “beneficial” and a “shared sacrifice” then that should tell you all that you need to know. The choice is simple in Chicago-tax the rich.

Fuck these AI slop machines.
This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

The time to adopt AI is 2030.

If the tech is really that great, it will survive until then, presumably in an even better and cheaper form than today.

If it crashes and burns between now and then, you didn’t waste billions of dollars and untold expertise trying to chase it.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
