One of the hardest parts about grappling with Ai as coercion and abuse …

Is that as a culture we don’t see smear campaigns, and

“Helpful” control as abusive enough because of the people most socialized to use them

Always ask these things about Ai ads and possible intimates :

- “helping” by controlling your access to information and inserting themselves in
- isolating you by demanding reliance where you should be growing resilience
- creating an enemy out something they don’t control
- future faking

I want to thank every single “expert” especially the ones in internet culture for mocking the buildup to this

They’ll say and do nothing, act like it was inevitable and put millions into AI to avoid making strategic changes

I don’t actually worry if we’ll beat fascists it’s not that hard, they tend to fall away in some form

Or the civic fabric rots to hell either or

I worry that a lot of people have created a world where they NEED the fascists to have purpose

And that ish harder to get rid of than the fascists

The reality is AI matters less as destroying our futures

Than the acceptance we so smoothly swallowed that peoples rights, culture, and even experiences are ours , just because we “feel” something

It’s not a citation or homage if you can’t admit someone did it before you.

It’s not okay if you pick and choose who you respect based on your bias and then devalue them

It’s not okay to demand people make sure you are noted as their job when the cite you properly

That’s just abuse
February 9, 2026 at 12:58 PM
A log of people think asking for accuracy 8: about “credit” “ownership” not actual respect for things are

In both directions

They think that some people are just open access to take with out credit or citation

If they’re acceptable enough

And

That some people should be citing them forever

Good artists want context, and correctness. Specificity breeds art.

It’s choices made from the wealth of experience that other people’s art makes . It also gives people belief in their worth

It’s why cultural studies are the first to go / be redone

And it matters no matter who does it
Not at all surprised to learn that Bad Bunny has a historical adviser. His halftime show was a reminder that our history and culture are deeply intertwined with the rest of the western hemisphere. We should think of his performance as part of #America250. #SuperBowl

Pop star Bad Bunny needed a Puerto Rican history scholar. UW–Madison had just the one.
Bad Bunny collaborated with UW–Madison history professor Jorell Meléndez-Badillo on Puerto Rican narratives that accompany the new album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

Good morning…. You don’t have to tell me everything the white people outrage machine says

.

Please start letting them sweat about their falling numbers and talk about things for you/ your region/

If we admit that culture , that humanity is capable of, that people have rights and needs that any society who claims dominion over them should provide ?

You can’t continue to fail by using fascism as a threat. You can’t continually use the fascist as a ruler if you HANDLE him

So we get this
February 9, 2026 at 12:47 PM
We aren’t “failing “ it’s not “sensitive”

The issue is fight fascists in their real AMERICAN context and actions means a completion of Reconstruction, EQUITY , and “legal” integration( whether social remains or is even good ehhhhh)

And removes the power so many have leaned on
