David said if I visited Chicago that he’d buy me a Garrets bucket if Chicago mix. So there’s that to look forward to.
Check out Anna’s new book!

In January the energy in Chicago doesn’t come from the sun or the air but the city and its people.

Less important but the bus is also one of the best places to serve looks and have your outfit get seen.
If wealthy people took the bus, we'd already have a city filled with bus lanes. They'd say they deserve to get places faster.
Andy Fillmore wants bus-only lanes turned into high-occupancy vehicle lanes

fwiw Americans are very bad at understanding that the 2 things you're not supposed to discuss - politics and religion - infuse literally everything that the country has done, is doing, and will do

it's the water we swim in, which is why we don't see it

Im forced to wear sunglasses inside like I’m neo from the matrix
My glasses broke (manufacturer, not user, error) so I can’t go to city hall since I gotta get my optometrist to get these fixed

When the UK beats you to the moral high ground you know you’re truly in the sewer.
U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

Sacking the PM as a moral high road and replacing him with someone actually competent is a gifted opportunity for Labour.

Definitely the kind of messaging you want to have to put out ahead of the release of the jobs report, 100%
🇺🇸HASSETT: SHOULD EXPECT SLIGHTLY LOWER JOBS NUMBERS. LOWER JOBS NUMBERS SHOULDN'T TRIGGER PANIC

Near perfect example of many Bay Area Dems
putting your face to the campaign to not replace the small, outdated library that needs seismic retrofitting is such loser shit

We need to enforce these classifications first at the top of the food chain: with importers and sellers. Too much of the regulation right now is focusing on end users.
2. The classification system is complicated and it can be impossible to tell one class of bike from another without a close inspection. Plus, these classifications are not currently being enforced regularly, at least partly because law enforcement officials don't understand the classes either.

This kind of smart, walkable, mixed-use urbanism is illegal to build in most American cities.

Iconic moment as he says "God Bless América" and then names every country in South, Central, and North america in order

For the rest of the hemisphere, América doesn't mean the U.S.

It means evveeerrybody

I didn’t realize that Ring the company was a truncation of their full legal entity name:

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them, LLC

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

For a good six months now I've been saying "If you're here, you're American" like an Olive Garden commercial for my "Make Everybody Already Here A Citizen" policy but frankly I'm ready to declare every human being currently between the Bering Strait and Cape Horn a US citizen.
