I just saw the video of when 🧊 boxed me in today to intimidate and it’s kind of a funny story. It was right by the bar so i went over to observe them. 6 (?) cars or so. All staging for the morning. Then i left the parking lot after them and suddenly i was surrounded by a bunch of suvs.

my cat has been getting balder and balder on her pouch and chest, and we are trying to hype her up for whatever treatment will look like with "hairy tits twenty-twenty-six"

not to go all identity politics but I think it’s also because the victims are women
one takeaway from the grok noncon porn thing is that much of the media just isn't interested in an issue they can't pretend has two sides or that doesn't give them an opportunity to shit on the left. Also it would be uncomfortable to justify remaining on twitter after acknowledging it

NEW EPISODE: "The Creation of America's Car Culture, Part 2." We examine the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 through the lens of two neighborhoods in New Orleans and Syracuse that were destroyed in the name of progress and the national defense.

Part of me thinks Democrats should get back to the tactics that made LBJ effective at campaigning:

Campaign against your opponent with in ways that constantly put them on the back foot. Embrace pig fucker politics—make the sons of bitches running against you deny heinous things

can't stop thinking about how a pedestrian was killed in front of my alderman's office and he hasn't done fuck all about it
Zohran just went out and fixed the Williamsburg Bridge bike entrance. Just did it. No faffing, no nonsense. Bam. Fixed.

heading to cc club?
An off-duty ICE agent was just confronted in Minneapolis after people noticed a Nazi SS lightning bolt tattoo on his neck.

If you’re proud enough to ink it on your neck, why are you running when people notice?

We all already know ICE never left Chicago, but just to emphasize: several vehicles have been spotted out and about this morning. Unconfirmed (for now) reports of several abductions.

This was just a few months after January 6, which is when I knew law enforcement organizations had every interest in defending January 6 because that was how they would amass power. Police do not work for "the people." (Then, of course, Biden funded them anyways.)

somebody at UChicago is feeding preprints to LLMs without authors' consent, in a research study

they have the gall to suggest to authors they've opted-in that they volunteer to evaluate the LLMs' suggestions regarding their own work.

lol, lmao even. here is the invite and my reply

Ald. Brian Hopkins had the worst haircut in the chamber by far
Ald. Brian Hopkins is forcing a vote THIS WEDNESDAY (Jan 7) in the Public Safety Committee to give CPD Supt. Larry Snelling "Snap Curfew" powers. This allows one person—Snelling—to declare a curfew anywhere in the city with only 12 hours' notice.

Don't fall for it...
