Women, especially women of color, are the most attuned to their safety. Meaning they perceive most correctly how safe they are. White men are the worst at it. When infrastructure is not safe, women will not use it at the same rate as men (especially white men). Is the solution less infrastructure?

If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

Having seen bystander footage, it is clear to me the ICE agent involved in the Minneapolis shooting needs to be charged with murder.
ICE is a thinly-veiled jobs program for thugs. It must be abolished. ICE has no place in Minneapolis, in Chicago, or anywhere else.

There is video of the shooting of a woman by ICE in Minneapolis circulating that shows an ICE agent repeatedly shooting her at point blank range while she tries to drive off. There was no obvious threat to any ICE agent.
