I highly recommend this book. I never realized how much history I didn’t know. The book starts in Ravenna, which I visited in February 2020 and fell in love with.
BUT WAIT our other book is only $1.99!!!!!!!! That’s less than a candy bar. Each backstabbing Carolingian is only pennies on the dollar? Sign me up!

Look, Democrats are failing to meet the moment in a lot of ways, but codifying that ICE/CBP can't wear masks, must have warrants signed by judges, and can't just sweep up random people isn't just "better training." It addresses the issues that currently make them secret police.
U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.
