Also feels like he can’t escape any tackles. Against the Chiefs he caught a pass and was literally stopped cold by a DB who stretched out one arm off balance. Coleman’s a big guy, yet has no ability to make a move after first contact

You can’t be a successfully receiver if you’re deficient in both Yards downfield and Yards per catch. It just doesn’t work.

@stephenking.bsky.social I’m thrilled that the Bachman books are getting a revival. My broken spined Bachman Collection are some of my most reread King stories with The Long Walk being my favorite

As part of for the course, we had a hard frost last night in MN and the catalpa tree decided to drop its leaves. All at once. In the driveway. #fall

How many standard deviations above the mean is that?

That and falling asleep while you’re actively playing with them
Do you teach #rstats? Do your students complain about how lame and old-fashioned dplyr is? Don't worry: I have the solution for you: github.com/hadley/genzp....

genzplyr is dplyr, but bussin fr fr no cap.
GitHub - hadley/genzplyr: dplyr but make it bussin fr fr no cap

Tech bros tired of reinventing buses reinvent phrenology instead

A pleased #cat who ate his lunch, then took advantage of a closed door Zoom meeting to convince the other owner (who just arrived home) to feed him a second meal

Good to know. We recently had regional EPA folks up in Minneapolis overseeing sample wells to re-evaluate a Superfund site. Groundwater VOC contamination. It was nice to see them working on public health

I was going to say that way back when (eg 2024), there used to be teams of federal experts from EPA, NIOSH, and CDC who could deploy to disaster sites, assist response teams, set up air/water monitoring, and ensure the workers and surrounding communities were safe. It was nice to have them

Love how the comments shifted from bashing AI to bashing Reviewer 2
Nature suggests you use their "Manuscript Adviser" bot to get advice before submitting

I uploaded the classic Watson & Crick paper about DNA structure, and the Adviser had this to say about one of the greatest paper endings of the century:

“And in addition to her work on mortality disparities, Dr Wrigley-Field is perhaps best known for inventing the Zoom Smell Share add-on (cozily positioned next to the Screen Share button). She is actively working on a Teams compatible version for government workers”

And imagine if he actually played all four quarters in his games

Are you implying that 2025 Tre White couldn’t shadow Worthy?

Now who expected the #Bills to hold the Chiefs to a field goal from 1st and a foot? Every hand is up, right?

Nice job by Bishop. Young and athletic, makes the plays we need weren’t getting with Hamlin

Tre White was literally dragged 6 yards by Pacheco

Thanks for nothing Falcons.

Why can’t all Democrats answer these questions like this? You’ve got all the darn resources in the world to help you communicate effectively.
How to answer a loaded question.

Never thought I’d say this, but we could really use a hard frost in #MN to kill back all these plants. With leaves still greenish, I’m reluctant to cut back my garden too much. Plus carrots convert starch to sugar after the first freeze, so I’m waiting for that before harvest

Sorry, kept listening to the pod and saw you were called out. Still funny though

Had to listen to it again to make sure I heard it correctly

Hey @patrickmorantb.bsky.social I like your slip of tongue in this pod (48:50), when you say you’re looking forward to a starting backfield of Jordan Hancock and Kair Elam

The cat has decided that my post lunch productivity should be delayed

I wonder how many people who grew up in the 90s are quoting the King Size Homer #Simpsons episode after reading this?
