As part of for the course, we had a hard frost last night in MN and the catalpa tree decided to drop its leaves. All at once. In the driveway. #fall

Nature suggests you use their "Manuscript Adviser" bot to get advice before submitting

I uploaded the classic Watson & Crick paper about DNA structure, and the Adviser had this to say about one of the greatest paper endings of the century:

Now who expected the #Bills to hold the Chiefs to a field goal from 1st and a foot? Every hand is up, right?

Nice job by Bishop. Young and athletic, makes the plays we need weren’t getting with Hamlin

Why can’t all Democrats answer these questions like this? You’ve got all the darn resources in the world to help you communicate effectively.
How to answer a loaded question.

Never thought I’d say this, but we could really use a hard frost in #MN to kill back all these plants. With leaves still greenish, I’m reluctant to cut back my garden too much. Plus carrots convert starch to sugar after the first freeze, so I’m waiting for that before harvest

A rancher went all the way to the Supreme Court in his effort to make corner-crossing on the public/private land checkerboards illegal trespassing. He wasted his money. Good. www.wyomingpublicmedia.org/natural-reso...
U.S. Supreme Court denies taking on corner crossing case
That means stepping over private land access public land remains legal in some states, including Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

Found this fellow staring at me in the bathroom. A house pseudoscorpion that’s smaller than a sesame seed, but apparently deadly to dust mites. Never thought my house would have apex predators (of micro fauna) running around with massive claws. #Nature

Re-reading Ambrose’s Band of Brothers and during the Battle of the Bulge, I’m struck by the thought that despite more men, equipment, better supply lines, and easier terrain, the Germans lost. Ambrose attributes this to superior US forces based on teamwork, training, leadership, … 1/3

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”
