It's counterproductive for Democratic leaders to start from the presumptive position that protesters are dangerous agitators and federal agents are just trying to enforce the law.

Flip it. The FEDS are causing violence. THEY represent the threat to U.S. cities. The protesters are the patriots.

it's been an entire fucking year and not a single person in a position of power or influence has done this

that lady is dead because the entire leadership structure of this country does not contain a single leader

not one
someone with a platform needs to get on camera and say "we're under attack, lives are being destroyed, our freedom is at stake, we need to take back our government, by force if necessary, meet me in DC [insert date], we're not leaving until these criminals and their minions are dead or in chains"

Me: That sounds familiar... did I buy that book?

Look at my past orders:

TWICE
I BOUGHT A BOOK ON PRODUCTIVITY TWICE

Next step Karen: Read the book on Productivity 🤣😂

Oh this thread made me extremely happy and also slightly angry
I have a long-running list of surprising eponyms, and in this dark time I wish to share my amusement with you.

To clarify, an eponym is something named for a person. “Newton’s Laws” are called that for Isaac Newton. A surprising eponym is just that.

So, let’s begin.

your mileage may vary but my experience on here improved pretty noticeably when I stopped offering explanations to people whose questions sought conflict rather than answers

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

I've been reading too many short stories and now everything I do is imbued with too much meaning. Is this an allegory? I ask, holding up an object. What about this then? I say, going over there. I don't understand the lesson I'm supposed to be learning.

Telling oil companies before you tell congress and the press lmao can you make it more obvious what this is about
Reporter: Did you speak with the oil companies before the operation? Did you tip them off?

Trump: Before and after. They want to go in and they’re going to do a great job.
