To be clear the only experience trump has with health insurance is when he took his nephew’s severely sick baby off the family insurance
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

to be fair it does let republican senators sue their own government for damages for helping trump try to steal the election, so are you sure there's no upsides
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

if you were going to destroy the morale of your angry, fired up base and ensure a critical 10% of them stayed home at the midterms out of disgust or despair, surrendering without a single gain is the way to do it, well played Chuck and caucus

Like every argument about the ACA subsidies is worse than January because open enrollment is closed and people will not have been able to afford to enroll

So a vote to restore subsidies would also have to include a new open enrollment, which would be even worse of a lift
