In this story, there is a lot of support for trans people that you rarely see covered in the media unless they're being attacked. Businesses and individuals all standing up and saying 'I will not be a part of this' and I think that needs to be highlighted because it can feel lonely out there.

I hadn’t realised that the Epstein files are full of chat about London as the place for rich swine to sue and crush people reporting on their activities. Completely blunt about it, sounds like: if you’re a rich criminal who needs to squash someone, you should always sue them in Britain.

What a lot of absolute melts never realised was that Corbyn was a kind of soft left compromise.

Quite striking how the argument the Green Party have been making for some time now - and getting called all sorts of silly names for by the Labour Government - is the most popular position with the British public.

Funny the things you can just say when you've not been bought and paid for....
Strikingly even current conservative voters are most likely to say it’s best for UK national security to align with the EU - along with majorities of Lib Dem, Labour and Green voters while Reform voters are more likely to say it’s safer with the Commonwealth/CANZUK or the US

But then her cousins are just like "Oh, you're a boy? OK. Let's have an adventure". They accept them for who they are, pretty much immediately. And they went on to appear in TWENTY more books up to 1963, and stayed as George the whole time, and nobody tried to ban them because of it.

My thoughts are that my basic political requests were always 1) less deliberately horrible, cruel and vicious political/media culture 2) more and better public services and 3) far less complicity in America’s horrifying wars. I note this has been regarded as insanely extreme ideological lunacy.

Yes, what if we moved the goalposts again so that this abysmal piece of shit, this walking affront to the democratic process, could just jail anyone he wants rid of? Much to think about

Love that the High Court ruled that prescribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group was unlawful but as they also ruled the ban must remain in place until a future hearing, the BBC must remind its reader that expressing support for them will get you arrested.

Normal country.

A court has ruled that the government's authoritarian ban on Palestine Action was unlawful.

Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.

Again, this is transcribed direct from Cass. And *why* do we need to be careful? Because Cass doesn't like the idea that a child could turn out to be trans. Because bigotry.

Of course NOT accommodating social transition if requested is EQUALLY an active intervention. A transphobic punishment.

It is a sobering day for every leftist when he realises that Private Eye is not on his side and never will be, no matter how much they like to complain about corruption.
I subscribed to private eye for years but eventually cancelled it when I realised that no matter how much they appear to be trying to uncover corruption in govt etc they don't actually want anything to change, they're just a wing of the british establishment thriving on anonymous briefing and gossip
