I again urge you to ask which is more likely: that millions of members of the public have gone insane, or that a comparatively tiny number of people at the heart of media and politics - who all know each other and often work together - have driven *themselves and each other* crazy.

Billionaires have a brain disease.
My issue is that everyone wants legislation and assumes it will just all work. It won’t. Too many vested interests. Too much need for AI to make it all work, which will scare people and make them question it more.

If you have a written path to get from here to them. Just email it to me

Sad thing about anyone with any sense having seen it all before is that those in power, liberals, arch-idiots, will think this stuff never happened before and is great and won't lead anywhere dark and evil.

Britain is not the only country where the ruling class have been forced to choose between neoliberalism and democracy, and they have resorted to force and crime to enforce the former, at the expense of the latter. But it is IMO the dumbest, most insulting example, and it’ll be the hardest to remove.

Britain does not have to be competently managed to be a managed democracy, and I don’t think it could’ve been made more clear that any threats to the status quo will be treated as extremist insanity or Russian aggression, or whatever other bullshit is required to prop up this system up.

Can anyone help out here!?
Massive long shot but is there anyone on here who lives in/near Cardiff, has a drone and would be willing to help me find my cat today? She got out at some point yesterday whilst we were away and we spotted her on a nearby roof this morning but she’s now disappeared. Please share

The correct answer to the dilemma of whether Reform (and for that matter the Greens) should be entitled to more unelected seats in the House of Lords is of course “abolish the House of Lords”

but specifically, we need someone unthreatening enough to not actually hold any opinions that could ever be considered left wing. we need the vague air of opposition to power, but only to the softest target foreign power and with no risk of alienating any of our own political class.

If we absolutely had to have an American, then it would’ve been really easy to get Ms Rachel on the phone. But that would create the impression that there is an alternative, when there is not one.
If this is about idiot bastard regimes full of despicable clueless evil swine stomping upon not very interesting celebs who defy their utterly disgusting bullshit, then I’m sure Channel 4 have e.g. Gary Lineker’s number.
I am very switched on to media in general and I only somewhat know who this guy is. But then, I am quite old.

We can be more blunt than this: it was 2016-19, when all the lads in politics and press decided literally anything was justifiable, in the name of restoring the status quo. And we have basically been in a state of exception from 2001, so this is just formally acknowledging reality.

The conventions and rituals that define the way we do politics rapidly eroded this year – setting the UK on a course into the unknown, says Guardian columnist Andy Beckett
