ON BECOMING AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE MONSTER
***

A essay / manifesto / novella, told via the films of Andrzej Źuławski.

A tale about God, disease, and art.

The great thing about DJing is that when someone tries to coin a new genre name in criticism it feels like trying to make fetch happen, but when you’re organizing for your own purposes you can make up as many fake genres as you want. (as long as that term remains consistent / legible to yourself)

Just because Trump doesn’t get his preferred outcome does not mean that something is good or even better. Lots and lots of jobs will be lost and movies won’t be made and you saying “well at least Trump didn’t get what he want” is what actual nihilism looks like. He is not the ONLY guy who sucks

Managed to go all of 4-5 days without waking up to news that sent me into a blind rage. But we’re back baby. Awouuu. Wolf howl

lotta people not quite grasping the monopolistic implications of this situation, and honestly, the posts about how at least a fascist won’t own the Looney Tunes or whatever are kinda making me mad

I've been digging into the (very weird and cool) music of Luke Wyatt aka Torn Hawk and this guy is a hall of fame track-namer and album-namer.

This is peak performance, this is how you do it

There is a lot in Eddington that I think missed the mark (you could lift out almost all of the stuff centered around the teen characters imo) but I think it really nailed its thesis that reactionary politics are mostly just proxy wars for the cucking / castration anxiety of powerless men
The reactionary mind is incredibly neurotic about both being stolen from and being laughed at and that's part of why they're so consumed with anxieties about welfare cheats, fake refugees, fake disabled kids, etc. It's like an asexual version of their cucking anxiety.

I think there’s a lot of things cool about the Los Thuthankas album reaching more normie western audiences via the pitchfork list but the number one coolest thing is that it demonstrates that mastering your music is for nerds. Just turn the gain up

For years i have argued that Spotify is bad but wrapped day is the worst day to try to condescendingly make the argument that Spotify is bad to people not already on board.

But even I have been converted to team crank
