Does anyone know a doctor anywhere in North America who could assess someone with severe GI damage from multiple infections, worsened by Rituximab/prolonged oral prednisone, malnutrition (including severe Thiamine deficiency), and autoimmune neuropathy?

They have fired the staff of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report and 70 Epidemic Intelligence Service officers, who are disease detectives that respond to outbreaks around the world.

I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous it is to dismantle our disease surveillance infrastructure.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS infuriating, deplorable account of what one trans woman in the U.K. has gone through as a result of the country's shifting laws (particularly as they have moved toward explicit hatred this year).

Just read it. My God.
I want to explain a few things and then it might be clearer why UK trans people are upset.
In 2001 I married my wife, Sylvia.
In 2005 I started medical transition. (1/13)

what I tell you three times is true
I have now said this to you three times. Stop evangelizing your one neat trick for fungal infection, completely random dosages of completely random chemicals, injecting bleach and powdered insects, and lead poisoning (to use a small sampling of what the people I know have found).

AI is really good at faking empathy and since that’s often a part of therapy, people might think it’s working. But if it tells you what you want to hear, it enforces a false reality and can make you literally psychotic. A good tip is if a therapist (AI or human) never challenges you, get a new one.
How about this:

It isn’t empathy if it isn’t between living creatures.
"Empathy without accountability isn’t therapy."

People of the PNW: it is time to take stock of your spider ranch.

Is yours fruitful and fulfilling, like mine?
Or does it need further tending, like appropriate sized insects, or some light misting?

What a good way of putting this. I feel similarly about The Sparrow. All that violence I will never be able to un-imagine.
I watch violent movies, but this one had violence of a type I can’t bear well, throughout.

but mostly I will never again be able to get back a mind free of the scene with the murder/stillbirth and its aftermath. and i do resent that.

Yes! Not only are they not recognizably Christian, they're claiming the demonym for themselves alone, and insisting none of the rest of us are real Christians. And a lot of regular people believe them.
YES!! EXACTLY! THIS!!

They are literally not Christian in any way that is recognizable, in belief or practice, to the rest of Christianity over the past two millennia and around the rest of the world.

And they are rejecting us much harder than we're rejecting them.

As an Episcopalian whose church is suing this administration, I do not feel protected one bit by the Trump gang. Everything they have done from cutting funds for food & health care to kidnapping my neighbors and sending them to prison camps and gulags, is the opposite of our teachings. ⚓️
Trump, speaking at a WH Faith Office event right now, says he's "once again protecting religious freedom instead of destroying it" and insists he "stopped the Biden administration's persecution of Christians."

The Trump admin is currently being sued by dozens of religious orgs and denominations.
