Friendly reminder that dishwashers made after 1995 or so are so water and energy efficient that even if you ran them twice fully loaded it would still use less water than handwashing the same load.

So many "green" things feel like sacrifices. Dishwashers are not one of them.

I am profoundly math disabled.

I never moved past 2nd grade math.

I have no idea how I was passed through high school without it. I passed in classes I barley attended.

And I frankly believe I was being made to take far more math than I should have had to.

(Some) teachers saw it too
terminal Math Brain truly is a cancer that is eating the world
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

From 2020-2022 I practiced no-opinion Thursdays, in which if anyone asked (including myself) I got a free pass not to answer, because I was exhausted. It was great.

I’m on an opinion cleanse.

No more opinions from me until necessary.

I am back to offering once monthly breathwork support groups. These groups utilize an over-breathing technique which provides powerful access to whole self knowing, somatic, cognitive, emotional, spiritual. The practice is great for discernment, grief, and stress.

I still have a weird little blog - but I'm not a business, - I'm a person who works and shares my work by donation - so I can't be driven out of anything.

I do offer some consultations - but I don’t serve as a psychotherapist much anymore.

My body stopped me.

But I’m also interested in the depths where psychology meets soul,

when life forces us to change,

When we are confronted by death, or mandated transformation

Those who protect their hearts through unbearable moral injury just keep reaching a hand toward the most vulnerable, and the vulnerability in ourselves and each other -

through every up and down-

No collective event in any direction ever eradicates the work.

Be aware -

I watched it and enjoyed it and didn’t realize how the collective moral injury - that I’ve negotiated my way through and survived so far - of being extra vulnerable to compound viral injuries

Would leave me with painful scary mourning nightmares all night after.

Which can be good
Living with Long COVID often feels like living in a horror movie. Along with your disease comes a creepy Hive Mind refusal to acknowledge the dangers of COVID infection. In Vince Gilligan's new Apple TV show Pluribus, the Hive Mind comes to life:

"Pluribus" captures the isolation of COVID-awareness in a COVID denialist world
For years I've described having Long COVID as living in a horror movie. Now that horror movie (well, prestige Apple TV show) is here.

I can’t stop you but I really deeply recommend that you do not.

“All _____ should die” is an immediate unfollow from me, even if it is “boomers” filling in the blank.

Ageism and ableism isn’t an appropriate response to politicians who have hoarded power.
