Twitter (X): Was banned for calling Musk and Trump Russian assets.
I remember in the early 2000s hating George W. Bush so much and thinking I could never despise an American president more than I did him.

I really should have saved some of that energy.

The Word became flesh to dwell among us.

It did not become ideology to be imposed upon us.

When ideology forgets humanity it becomes idolatry.

And we have, for too long, been willing - sometimes resigned, often eager - to sacrifice humanity to our idols.

Murdering nonwhite people,
in the name of “Christianity,”
on Christmas Day,
is peak MAGA Christianity.
Worth noting that Nigeria makes a point in its statement to debunk Trump’s comments that this violence is specifically directed at Christians, acknowledging that it impacts everyone.

Trump "defending" Christians by bombing terrorist in Nigeria. Nigeria has the largest oil reserve in Africa, and Trump doesn't care about black people.

Ukraine is devoutly Christian and he bends a knee to Putin.

Venezuelans aren't harming Americans, but have oil.

Remember "no more foreign wars"?

During the holiday between Christmas and New Year - one of my annual tasks is digital declutterring and clean up. I organize files, clean out my hardrive, delete old files and apps, change passwords, unsubscribe from accounts. It’s tedious but feels so good once I’m done.

Fun fact: when I sang “Good King Wenceslas” as a child I didn’t know “the Feast of Stephen” referred to an actual day.

I thought “feast of Stephen” was a poetic British name for a field somewhere.

Ah yes, the great feast of Stephen, site of an ancient battle between the Picts and Saxons. /1

On the Feast of Stephen
When the snow lay round about
Deep and crisp and even…..

Walking Chester through a Boxing Day blizzard. Snow isn’t heavy yet but wind is brutal. We decided to brave it this morning as it just going to get worse later this afternoon.

Wasn’t exactly a white Christmas but definitely going to be a white Boxing Day. ❄️🌨️

Every year I go to bed Christmas night thinking “I’m sleeping in tomorrow and spending the whole day in my pyjamas!”

Then someone wakes me up on Boxing Day reminding me “You have a dog”. #DailyChester

Time of year I unfollow or block every fitness influencer / trainer who makes fun of people starting the gym Jan 1st.

Yes gyms are emptier come Feb,resolutions typically last 2 weeks and packed gyms are inconvenient.

But every person’s journey started somewhere. Your’s did. Encourage. Don’t mock.

This was beautiful.
Following the King's address, the combined choir of "Songs for Ukraine" and the Royal Opera House Choir performed the English version of the Ukrainian song "Shchedryk," known as "Carol of the Bells."

One of my gifts from James: tickets in April to a screening of “West Side Story (1961)” at Meridian Hall with a live orchestra playing the score. 🥰

Chester finally got to open the two big bags under the tree that he knew were for him.

The newest additions to his ever expanding stuffie fam: Lucy Lama and Rick Pickle.

He’s already been “inappropriate” with Rick.

Our little church @stjohnsdixiechurch.bsky.social was full tonight and so is my heart. A Merry Christmas to all and God bless us, everyone. 🌟

Parishioner texted me “I’ve got something for you. I’ll bring it tonight”.

And I jokingly texted back: “Why? What’s tonight?”

She immediately responded with “Um, Christmas Eve?”

I wrote back: Is TODAY Dec 24th???

She wrote. Ok don’t panic. What do you need? I can get whatever you need ready…”/1

In the English medieval church the O Antiphons began one day earlier (Dec 16) so that an eighth antiphon in Mary’s honour could be added.
