Corollary: IME NT people don’t believe ND people are people either.

Or if they do, they mean a very very very different thing to me by the word, “empathy”.
My dad sometimes remarks that some men simply "don't believe women are people" and I think about it a lot
this has massive "don't come to school tomorrow" vibes, like jesus fuck

Shut up, Wesley.
This is the funniest headline I seen in a long time. And bravo to whoever underlined the desperation with the juxtaposed link.

"Indeed, sir, Dorley Hall will make a very pleasant change for you."

"For me, Jeeves?"

"Quite, sir. Now if I might just take your coat while this young lady anaesthetizes you..."

"While whaaaa..."

Tim Allan, who just quit as Starmer's director of comms, was on the board of the trans-eliminationist hate group "Sex Matters", whose director of advocacy Helen Joyce urged transphobes to get through to "decision makers" so that the "numbers" of trans people could be "reduced." That's what they did.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

The great bit about having two medical things which the uk press hates is that nobody is quite sure which one I’m mocking their attitude to.
Why is nobody asking if “severe” rain is over diagnosed when it is part of natural weather variation? Instead of flood warnings, people should be helped to find dignity through labour with a compassionate approach to getting those in a temporarily submerged lifestyle back into the workforce.

Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

SECOND THOUGHT OF THE DAY…

The United States of America is now a hostile nation and potential enemy. American “Think Tanks“ should be prevented, and US funded ones shut down, exactly as RT was shut down.

The USA is a deeply malign influence.

I know that some people swear by (rather than at; important to get prepositions right) the stuff but I’m convinced that Ritalin largely exists to make people like me feel better about not getting a childhood diagnosis.

Next time trans people tell you someone is a wrong ‘un, maybe worth believing us?

On account of how we keep being far too conservative in our estimates or just how bloody wrong?

Does “Beethoven Symphony Number Nine in D Minor, Choral, movement four” count?

What? It’s a song …
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

I’m sure the second amendment people will be along any moment to sort this out.

Oh …

This just in. We’re hearing that they ARE the second amendment people. Something something Rage Against The Machine.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

It took the medial profession an embarrassingly long time to work out that ADHD isn’t little boys throwing chairs around that they grow out of.

They missed adults.

They missed women.

They’re still missing that it’s probably systemic and may be just the neurological head of a much bigger hydra.

A lot of people are choosing to miss the point here which is not “Every problem is super easy to solve and democrats refuse to do it” but that when there *is* a simple solution they will insist it’s much more complicated and the simple solution is impossible.
