Just saw a video from 2 days ago of a claiming he did all this detective work and found who made the "You Wouldn't Steal a Car" anti-piracy ad.
It's been public forever who made that spot mostly because the music composer sued the creative house for violating their contract.

I agree, and I think the fact that a huge amount of Americans think that learning and self-development are "school things" rather than "tasks of life, perhaps the definition of life itself" has led us to a place where people's knowledge depreciates like a car.
I maintain that the average American over 30 would underperform the average American graduating high school on a comprehensive exit exam (with results decaying with age) and really nothing has shaken that expectation over the last fifteen years or so.

Beef and lamb are so much more harmful to the environment than other proteins that we can make a lot of headway by just encouraging people to eat more pork, chicken, and fish. Eat a pork chop once in a while instead of a steak and so on.

Unambiguously correct. One of the most impactful things anyone can do politically or environmentally is go vegetarian. But Americans love burger. Meat is masculine coded and in fact a big part of masculine identity for millions.

I've actually tried to game out how to accomplish vegan political objectives without generating too much backlash; I think one way to do it is to repeal agricultural gag laws and then ride the backlash to impose strong animal welfare laws that have the effect of dramatically increasing meat prices

i'm convinced if we ever tried to touch the rail of meat politics in America (something that's going to eventually need to happen in order to reduce CO2 emissions), it would lead to a huge right-wing shock
