i apologize for the necessity of this post, but:

i cannot donate to anyone for any reason. following me just to ask is futile and wastes everyone's time & energy.

guys, "the judges at the ICC are being sanctioned by the USA and can't access their iphones or bank accounts" and "why aren't any countries banning twitter or prosecuting elon musk for owning a site that manufactures CSAM" stories are the same story

Ask questions about sex characteristics, lose funding. That's the whole game, if you study any biology. Imagine your physics grant got cut because you study gravity. It's now against the rules to ask questions about gravity. #ScienceSky 🧪

so after a couple weeks of using the slop evader extension, i really can recommend it. it takes a while to get used to clicking the icon and typing search queries into it instead of directly into the search bar, but the results you get are slop-free and useful and you got options:

congratulations to all of us looking this lively while evidently being dead. (do you get extra dead for each covid vaccine or does every following one cancel out the previous one so you're dead if you've an odd number and alive if you got an even number?)

horseradish needs to become a way bigger thing in the us. i just realized creamed horseradish is the superior sandwich spread better than butter, mayo, any dressing.

the only "good guys" in this story are the migrants themselves; but i'll accept at least one of the ppl abusing said migrants being actually convicted of a crime for it. too bad no one in the german government responsible for this bullshit game is going to see jail.
The nationalist leader of a movement that emerged last year to patrol the German border and prevent returns of illegal migrants to Poland will face trial.

Prosecutors accuse him of insulting Polish border officers and inciting hatred against Germans and immigrants, among other alleged crimes.

i feel like we've known that? wtf was the name of that one us-based researcher that kept getting sooooo much shit on twitter for talking about t-cell exhaustion from his own research...
“Brazilian researchers found that covid-19 triggered a sharp rise in T cell exhaustion and cellular ageing…the strongest effects were seen in CD8+ T cells, which suppress latent viruses such as EBV and VZV. These effects were seen even after mild infections.”

hmmm i feel like maybe threats like this and also history are a reasonable source for "russophobia" (read: hatred of the russian imperial project and reasonable desire to defend themselves)
Medvedev blames Finland for"vile Russophobia":

Some guy called Stubb says Finland's relations with Russia have changed forever.Agreed.I hope Russia never repeats the Bolsheviks'1917 blunder.Finland's got to pay for its vile Russophobia. In fact,it's already paying -Stubb talks, citizens foot the bill
