I’m not active on Twitter anymore but if I were I’d be so annoyed that I stopped following Joyce Carol Oates over some previous horrible take. Joyce Carol Oates is the Azealia Banks of literature. Embarrassing but very entertaining and often deadly towards people who deserve it

This weekend I stumbled upon a classic car show. I was blown away by this paint job that fully transitions from maroon to yellow as the light changes

Incredibly depressing that the Democrats have bet it all on the pathetic state of our nation's attention span, confident that by the time these assholes can be primaried we will be too busy asking Grok if it's true that Trump shat himself in the middle of his most recent Nazi rally.

NFL should give 4pts for field goal kickers who hit the uprights. make things more interesting when a team has an easy FG but is way behind. I’m a fucking genius I got a thousand more ideas like this

I’ve been loving the Netflix series Ripley up until the final episode when the detective misuses the phrase “begs the question” in the modern way, which has ruined my entire life

An older lady at this hotel just mistook me for the pool’s towel girl. I AM standing near the towels. I am also soaking wet, wearing a wetsuit, standing next to a surfboard, and guzzling water. I handed her a towel & then asked where my tip is. She laughed & wandered off.

waking up in a hotel is disorienting enough without wondering how the sun is rising over the Pacific

The lady in front of me at the grocery stood there doing nothing while the single cashier rang up her overflowing cart and then slowly bagged each item. I wanted to say something but didn't. I'm so mad that it only occurred to me later that I should have just started helping the cashier bag things.

I'm accustomed to people asking me for links that are in the YouTube description, including the TRANSCRIPT when they arrive via YouTube & don't read the description. But this person is replying to a link TO THE TRANSCRIPT. I'm telling you: media literacy is in the toilet & it's only getting worse

Our second (observational) foraging hike was a great success! Now to spend hours trying to figure out what kind of fun guy is in each pic, like a normal person would do. (I have more pics if anyone enjoys helping ID. Again, this is observational only so I’m not eating any of this I promise)

lf Dems had any sense they'd treat this guy the way the right treated Kyle Rittenhouse. Put him on tour. Give him Morning Joe's spot or something.

Dr. Siouxsie Wiles saved lives during the pandemic by educating the public about what was happening. During that time, she withstood relentless harassment from conspiracy theorists & went to court to force employers to protect people like her. Here's her story! 🧪 www.patreon.com/posts/142933...

It's cool that all these ppl are braving a long line to vote Yes on 50 but.....I cast my vote last month by riding my little bicycle to a ballot box and dropping it in. What has failed to cause a backup? People shouldn't have to brave anything to vote. It should be easy

Incredible thread. I haven't felt this much joy since I woke up this morning and learned Dick Cheney died.
Big day at U.S. District Court in D.C. where Sean Dunn, the D.C. Sandwich Guy, is on trial for misdemeanor assault of a federal officer.

Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore is on the stand narrating surveillance video of the sammie toss.

'Now he’s struck me with the sandwich,' Lairmore says.

Fun fact: if you're wondering why you can't watch Monday Night Football* on your usual streaming service, it's because Google and Disney are arguing over whether you should be able to see tomorrow's election night coverage
*I don't care what you think about football

As part of adulthood my husband and I set up a living trust, and our advisor also suggested doing a donor-advised fund thing bc we do a lot of charitable donations. My husband just apologized to me for testing the system with a donation to a local food bank and I love him so much??

I hate when restaurants are like "here's a 400 meat dishes & 2 vegan options." It's like whoa, calm down, what about those of us who tolerate just a little bit of animal abuse? And also this is a big red flag for paying $20 for a bowl of unseasoned spinach that is absolutely infested with e. Coli

I dislike the LA Dodgers for all the usual reasons, but I did want them to win in the insane overtime game bc their fans were the ones sticking it out. But if they win they will def go shake Trump’s hand like a bunch of fucking Nazis and I don’t think the Blue Jays will do that?
