I think assuming literally any of these people will sit in a prison cell is honestly out of reach.

Even if the political tides turn on them fully, no national politician is going to create the precedent that the SecDef can go to prison for ordering war crimes, because that is usually their job.

It’s really being used heavily these days as a call-and-response for shitty people; just a quick test to see if you’re dealing with someone who is equally fed up with the expectation that you treat human beings with basic courtesy.

It’s not a great deal if you don’t need it. And especially this year, others really need support. So for all of us who have enough, let’s refuse to get sucked into the holiday shopping frenzy and share instead of shop. We don’t need more stuff, we need communities where all our neighbors are safe.
