Glad to hear @alexkirshner.com remember the Howie Kendrick game 7 HR in 2019, but he missed the best part… the DOINK sound off the fair pole

UCLA, by the way, is about to join Ohio State in the category of "Big Ten universities who, uhhh, just try not to say too much about certain people's ties to Epstein for, uh, fundraising reasons"
Chappell Roan is leaving her talent agency led by Casey Wasserman after he appeared in the Epstein files.

Some people did not want to hear this a couple years ago but I really think that sports fans are best positioned to know when it's over for a head of state, for this reason. It is the exact same social framework
we’ve reached the “(gm/owner/athletic director) voices confidence in the coach” stage with starmer, what are we doing here, brits?

Here are 12 numbers that tell the story of Super Bowl 60, in case “29-13” doesn’t do it on its own (analysis via @alexkirshner.com for @optaanalyst.optajoe.com / @optaanalystus.optajoe.com)‬

We've got some of the key numbers that tell the story of a one-sided Super Bowl 60 in which the Seahawks cruised to a win over the Patriots.

Pretty good take about the Seahawks here. I like it. Amazing coach too but I'm not trying to read a leadership book by him
The only take I could really muster with any conviction is that it’s crazy for a defensive juggernaut to be so swagless. Don’t know if it’s a coaching thing or what, but the Ravens / Bears / Legion of Boom were all swag. And agree about Will Campbell…

Me on Bad Bunny's beautiful joyous halftime show and why it is legible to everyone, no matter what language(s) you speak
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Performance Wasn’t What Conservatives Feared. It Was Something Else Entirely.
The Puerto Rican superstar’s halftime show was pure joy.

Myles Garrett not getting an MVP vote (while McCaffrey did, lol). *This* Super Bowl not yielding a defensive or special teams MVP.

It's a crisis of disenfranchisement! It was not always this way either. @slate.com: slate.com/culture/2026...

I did an entire blog about how I think one big upshot of this Super Bowl is that our society is now post-defensive or special teams SB MVPs. This was the most convicted take I could come up with from this game, other than that Will Campbell is bad and the Seahawks defense just hits you with a hammer

They got sacks. They got turnovers. Kenneth Walker ran hard and Sam Darnold didn't make any critical errors.

Need a wrestling/boxing person to explain what exactly the work is here, because it's def something but I'm not educated enough to know what it is

Contemporary to Dilfer who can surpass him as long as he doesn't destroy a G5 college program after he retires
Most importantly where will the San Darnold discourse go from here

They're going to have to give MVP to either Witherspoon or Dickson, right?

When Collinsworth says "I've got nothing for you here," what he is saying is that the interception you just saw was one of the most revolting things he's ever seen in football

This has evolved from 70% serious, 30% bit to about 95% serious
Michael Dickson has not had a punt net less than 40 tonight. He has a tackle. He's been the best player on the field and should win MVP

There has not been a single memorable play in this game but the concussion spotter trying to tell JSN he can't play would be an Oscar-nominated scene
The red-hat concussion spotter going into the tent with the best receiver in the NFL in the second half of this Super Bowl is the most dramatic part of the game. There should be cameras and mics in there for NFL Films

Dickson with the tackle! He's filling the stat sheet! MVP soon come

You have to be kidding with this punt. Vrabel's such a great ball coach and I didn't expect he'd waste our time like this

"oh haha it would be so funny if nobody scored a touchdown," you post into your bluesky machine, without realizing how much cash fanduel is going to save on first-TD and anytime-TD props in the event of a zero-TD game
