This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

These companies are in court saying that what they do is not sports betting.

I think he’ll pass Faulk and that would be pretty cool. 7k would be cool as hell.

If Noah Eagle calls games up to the age Al Michaels is now, he’s be still calling games in 2077.

A reminder that yes, it can feel like bowls are dying with teams and players sitting+some meh games but at the end of the day...

The continuance of specific bowls will boil down to whether a suit can pencil out in a spreadsheet that it will continue to make money

Appreciated all of those who voted.

Working on a takeaways article now. Think this is a great exercise that we'll run back next year, and is probably helpful to the networks to see.

What do we think the backstory is for the whistling Corona Christmas guy?

Married? Divorced? Retired?

Who is this man?

Bari Weiss is really bad at her job, until you realize it's her job to be really bad at her job, in which case she is excellent at her job

Now seems like a swell time to point out that Frontline just released this excellent 11-minute mini-documentary about what happened inside CECOT.

Given its reach and history, it’s hard to understate the significance of 60 Minutes.

This season has felt a lot softer and entertainment focused in terms of story selection and tone.

Would strongly recommend the movie The Insider if you haven’t seen already.
Hours before 60 Minutes was set to air a story on deportees who were sent by the Trump administration to prison in El Salvador, describing “brutal and torturous conditions,” 60 Minutes announced that it has pulled the segment and will air it in the future.

🎯

Not just Schefter but this absolutely nails it.

The NFL, Rams, and Puka released statements on the anti semitic comments.

But media outlets, especially those with a relationship with the league, clearly chose to focus on the referee comments versus the bigger issue.

Very interested to see how Amazon handles this tonight.

There are the ref comments and the anti semitic dance stories.

His agent said “No comment needed.”

Nothing from Puka, the Rams, or the NFL.

Will they go kickoff without anything and then how does Amazon handle?

It's rather incredible to me how many sports outlets' primary takeaway from this livestream was that Nacua criticized NFL refs and not that he did something EXTREMELY antisemitic during it. AA is practically the only one to actually highlight this.

There is a legitimate chance that the two TNT CFP games get tripled, or even quadrupled, ratings-wise by the NFL games.

This is such a bad setup for TNT and the CFP. The NFL is muscling them off this day.

I now call when a network is planning on letting someone’s contract lapse because they are uncomfortable with their public comments outside of sports “Tafoying”.
