Columbus thought it had made it nationally by getting a Love is Blind Season only for it to be the only season not listed by the name of the city it is being filmed in.

The race to be in the Theranos/WeWork doc or series as a journalist is heating up!

Tomorrow on The Rooster: A visit to Ohio State’s Right-Wing Free Speech Centers ends with a vicious assault from an … assistant professor?!?!

Watching Olympics locally in Columbus, you get about one Wexner medical center commercial at an hour.

If we are never going to rename it, feels counter productive to put it front and center while he gets dragged in the Epstein files.

Why advertise a sullied brand?

This was well done by @jacobfeldman.bsky.social (it's very helpful.

But also.... maybe leagues and networks shouldn't make this so confusing to the point where a full 16-box flow chart is required to figure out how to watch baseball.

Spin is working with a lot of water carrying.

Yes, those who have Unlimited or auto-renewal are not impacted.

But ESPN+MLB built quite a mousetrap for new customers.

If you're ignoring this and going along with the spin, it's clear who you write for, and it isn't fans.

Over the weekend, I saw Come From Away by a local community theater company that renovated an old adult theater that had sat empty for quite a while.

Best thing I've done in 2026.

Highly recommend the show/the story in general, and as always, supporting local arts and media.

There are a ton of random accounts racking up engagement with fake ratings data specifically conjured up to confirm people's existing biases.

This has become a billion-dollar industry as X and Meta let you just make up stuff and then get paid for the engagement.

All predictable and very stupid!

I have decided that next year, when they announce the Super Bowl halftime show artist, I am going to make being mad about who they pick my entire personality.

Kicker Super Bowl MVP?

I am setting the over/under of time on Fox News talking about the halftime show at 7.5 hours tomorrow.

Sports media ten years ago when SB was last in SF.

- ESPN MNF booth = Tirico+Gruden
- McAfee still playing in the NFL.
- Infamous Gronk lap dance (Whitlock at Fox)
- Portnoy+ Barstool banned by the NFL.
- The Ringer not yet announced
- Mark May, Ray Lewis, Trent Dilfer at ESPN

SB week has shifted away from traditional media and access to big names as not a lot of that pops anymore, vs things like Ryan Leaf vs Pro Football Doc and Russillo IG

Purpose is now tilted towards creators getting access (vertical video for younger folks) and hospitality/networking/adult proms.

It's not that type of stuff regularly happens (Trump and some other high profile people), but it's more or less seen as "normal" given how often it happens, and it's defended as well.

It's the President posting something brazenly racist and it will be just another normal day.
They're really going with "context matters" for why it's okay to post the Obamas depicted as monkeys.

McAfee is doing the same thing now that is in SF that he did when Gameday went to Berkeley, where he says more or less that this place is actually really scenic and nice and the people are cool and active, and it's not at all like "what he's heard".

When Fox Sports idiotically decided to fire all writers and no longer have written content on their website, this ended up being a huge boost for The Athletic and other outlets who gobbled up the talent.

I hope for a similar outcome here, but fear 2026 is a much colder world.

Back in the day, Twitter would raise $30 million-$100 million and it would be the leading tech news of the day.

Last week, for some reason, Tesla invested $2 BILLION into xAI.

And now SpaceX is buying xAI i for $1.25 TRILLION.

Kind of nuts and mostly flying under the radar.
