Can't believe we're all here because Elon Musk's midlife crisis.
ABC has 3 of the 4 games with ranked teams facing off tomorrow.

BTN has the other.

Good time to plug my article on the meeting that led to the creation of BTN and the domino that led to colossal disruption, including the Big Ten's split from ESPN.

Really, the only relevant time to share this....

My dad's best man invented the navigable channel guide, got rich selling the company fraudulently to Rupert Murdoch, and then, as the walls of justice were closing in, wired himself millions overseas and has never been seen since.

BRING BACK CHANNEL NUMBERS!

I wrote about how YouTubeTV and others have rewired how we watch TV.

Without channel numbers, we don't flip as easily, which means more ads, reliance on algo based suggested tiles, and we don't realize when channels go dark.

This conference is addicted to short-term cash grabs, knowing that most people will move on by the time the long-term implications of these moves are felt.

I hope they walk way. Nobody wants this. Nobody needs this.

The Terry Crew Dodge Ram commercial with the now awkward Drew Allar NIL reference sucks and needs to just be put out to pasture.

These FB shitposting pages can be hilarious sometimes…..

That is until you see:

- the comments are people believing this is real
- the page admin is posting from Vietnam
- the Page is getting creator funds for constantly posting this type of content

What an ass platform

I honestly thought majority of people blamed their cable company.

For ESPN/disney to be -46 here (yes I know, it’s unscientific) is REALLY surprising to me.

People siding over a company that they pay money to over a content company. Never thought I’d see it.

This one brat just said “how many do I get?”, and I said “one” (look, these are full size)

And she replied with “some houses are doing five”.

You’re god damn right I’m the candy police.

Our editor checked the database diligently for updates for months.

A few sites have credited other outlets that covered hours later.

A small site like AA really benefits from getting credited correctly when we do break one. Appreciate those who do it consistently.

Not long ago, ESPN would have covered today’s bombshell story with a heavy dose of Bob Ley, Jeremy Schaap, and Roger Cossack.

We are a long ways from that era in media and are never going back. It’s a sad reality of modern day media and extends well beyond sports media.

I polled a lot of people on if NBC’s ND vs USC game would do better than ABC’s UT vs Alabama. People were very split.

It’s not even close.

The non ABC TV networks can’t love this trend (who cares), but the non SEC conferences have to be getting a little rattled

Both Alabama and Penn State scored on the last play of the first half without being on offense.

Woof!

Awful Announcing has a higher than average amount of desktop traffic than most sites.

On most days I look at it and triggers me back to watching a close swing state on election night (tablet being a shitty third party candidate).

Let’s go desktop! We can win this one
