My sole criticism of Frankenstein is that there's no way collodion glass plate negatives would have survived an explosion and several months of elemental exposure

Ito’s Frankenstein creates a horrific atmosphere through the use of dark shadows and obsessively detailed linework that, in key moments, forces the reader into close, claustrophobic proximity with the detailed architecture of monstrosity, making it hard to look away. 2/9

I’m not sorry I haven’t been quiet about this, but I am sad for the state of it. I’m sad I can’t just exist in an industry I have the expertise in the same way my male peers do, and that I’m becoming more known for being outspoken than having my work speak for itself
there are so many qualified women who aren’t given the same chances because of the complacency with the status quo and that’s just not good enough anymore
