I am syndicated. Show me some respect. When I was a kid, I wanted to be the Mexican Louis Armstrong. They would've called me: Dirty Satchmo.

These are not "just" comics.

If you ever wanted to see these stories on TV you NEED to buy these comics to tell the studios it's worth doing!

#OTD in 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which cleared the way for the U.S. to incarcerate Japanese Americans in internment camps for the duration of World War II — and set a dangerous precedent for the future. #TheMarchContinues

I love the instant player feedback in Is This Seat Taken? by @potipoti.studio. A little shape guy is like, "I want a burger," so you drag him by his scruff to the restaurant counter where there's a burger waiting for him and as soon as you put him down he smiles and bounces with delight.

Women in the games industry already have to put up with a lot, but we shouldn’t have to do it alone. Men in the industry: if you see one of your fellow men doing behaving this way towards a woman at a professional conference, please speak up and tell them to CUT IT OUT.
I hope things in our industry change for the better in the future. I will not allow anyone to feel this way again.

'Death to Pachuco' was a genuine joy to read, and I'm appreciative of the team for crafting a crime story with so much heart, action, humor, and history. Get on it!

I agree, but we also have to acknowledge how many Indigenous journalists that currently exist and remain unemployed or dependent upon freelance work because of discriminatory hiring practices in newsrooms. Even when hired, Indigenous journalists have to fight to cover Indigenous beats.
Nelson Bird started his career in news in 1998 as a video journalist, producer & host of Indigenous Circle before becoming the assignment editor at CTV News Regina.

On tonight's episode of Face to Face he talks about his experience with the industry.
Cree journalist Nelson Bird says more Indigenous people should consider a career in journalism
Longtime Cree journalist Nelson Bird speaks with Face to Face about the need for more Indigenous people to get into the business.

This is good.
I love grants. I wish we had more. Things like this remind me that lots of people in comics (and elsewhere) are pushing for things to be better from a variety of angles.
check out these critics and dig into some comics:
I'm so excited to announce the recipients of this year's Comics Criticism Mini Grant. Congrats to Chad Nevett, Steve Baxi, Emmy Waldman, and Samantha Puc for their amazing work in comics criticism this year!
