I’m proud of us for getting, like, 40 minutes out of this extra slow week.
New show is up as @chriscoplan.bsky.social and I unpack a quiet week in comics news. @ajoustra.bsky.social joins the show to talk his upcoming TMNT story arc AND his work on the animation side of TMNT, including the short attached to SpongeBob: Search for SquarePants!

Don’t miss this!
🎙️ New!
We're joined by Andrew Joustra (@ajoustra.bsky.social), diving into his comics debut on Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4, his journey from animation/film to #comics, and why reimagining Fugitoid is the perfect first slice of the #TMNT world!

The last @aiptcomics.com Deep Dive for 2025! I think @denizcamp.bsky.social has a tough task with #Endgame, but the first issue feels like a proper achievement in this kooky little universe. Enjoy!
🔥 New interview up! @chriscoplan.bsky.social sits down with @denizcamp.bsky.social to talk Ultimate Endgame — the multiverse-spanning stakes, emotional beats, and what it’s like crafting the finale of this era. 🕷️💥

One more '25 fave for today. @zacthompson.bsky.social was def. one of my faves this year (see the @aiptcomics.com best-of podcast!), and it was great to talk to him earlier this year. Inventive but poignant storytelling, and everything he does is building this rich, beguiling tapestry.

And speaking of other @christophcondon.bsky.social projects, 'News From The Fallout" with Jeffrey Alan Love was a proper gem from 2025. I feel like this deep dive is exactly what I hope to get out of these long-form efforts -- enjoy!

Fred Harper on 'TAC' and Tristan Wright on 'Crusaders' feels like this generational convergence of weird, gross, wonderful magic.
Check out how Fred Harper is doing motion on those polka dot tights. From our upcoming story "Toxie Goes to Washington" beginning next month in Toxic Avenger Comics #6.

'Ultimate Wolverine' is a gem among the truly solid Ultimates "stuff." To me, it feels in dialogue with Condon's equally beloved 'Green Arrow' work. That's just more proof there's still so, so much to do with these heroes at this moment in time (with the right creative teams, of course).
Good talk!
🐺🔪 Ultimate Wolverine takes center stage.

@chriscoplan.bsky.social sat down with @christophcondon.bsky.social to talk all things Ultimate #Wolverine! From shaping this feral new take on Logan to the character’s place in Endgame and what’s coming next. This is a must-read, #comicsky:

One of 2025’s last Deep Dives. (But not THE last…) ‘Pig Wife’ is an intense but affirming and hugely poignant books about parenting, trauma, and how we survive ourselves and the world. I think it has the legs to be a solid entry across all of 2026.

My second favorite of Costner’s “Terrible Dystopias” series.
‘The Postman’ was released on this day 28 years ago! (December 25, 1997)

Directed by Kevin Costner.

Cast: Costner, Will Patton, Larenz Tate, Olivia Williams, James Russo, Tom Petty, and more.

Two eyes for Cyclops is top tier genius.
Walter Simonson drawing Cyclops finally letting loose and obliterating Sinister with an optic blast in X-Factor #39 is still some of the sickest shit ever drawn in a superhero comic.

2025 was weird personally and professionally. So I'm looking back at things I did that I really liked.
